摘要： A flat panel display is provided. The flat panel display includes a display panel. A light guide plate is disposed below the display panel. At least one optical film is disposed between the display panel and the light guide plate. At least one illuminating device package is disposed in proximity to the side of the light guide plate. The illuminating device package includes an illuminating semiconductor device and a lens encapsulating the illuminating semiconductor device. The lens includes two reflective surfaces disposed at either side of a central axis. A plurality of diffractive surfaces are disposed between the reflective surfaces. Each of the diffractive surfaces has a tilt angle respective to the central axis. A first portion of light beams incident to each of the reflective surfaces is reflected to at least one diffractive surface and then diffracted and collected into a first convergent angle.

Each of the first and second sub-pixels includes a liquid crystal capacitor and a storage capacitor. A capacitance ratio of the liquid crystal capacitor to the storage capacitor in the first sub-pixel is smaller than that in the second sub-pixel. In a first pixel and a second pixel among all the pixels, the first sub-pixel of the first pixel and the first sub-pixel of the second pixel are staggered, and the second sub-pixel of the first pixel and the second sub-pixel of the second pixel are staggered.

摘要： A pixel circuit includes a driver element that is supplied with a potential from a data line. The driver element controls a value of current passing through an electric light emitting element. Upon obtaining a threshold voltage, a conductive member connected to the electric light emitting element is made to be a floating state to cause the driver element to become on-state, variations in the potential of the conductive member caused by charges passing through the driver element to flow into the conductive member are detected by a threshold voltage detector to obtain the threshold voltage of the driver element.

At a part of this configuration, a planarizing layer covers the gate insulating layer and the data line. The planarizing layer has a groove formed right above the data line. A common electrode is formed on internal walls of the groove and on the flat surface of the planarizing layer corresponding to the shoulders of the groove. A pixel electrode is formed on the flat surface with a certain distance from the common electrode.
