Abstract:
Lightweight composite particles, primarily comprising various bentonite clays, but which may include other functional solid particles, are formed by introducing expanding gases or air into the particle forming process. The methods presented create the ability to reduce the bulk density of the composite particles while maintaining and in some cases even increasing the particle strength.
Abstract:
This invention relates to particulate forms of carrier materials containing an oxidant, especially hypohalite or hypohalous acid, especially a dry particulate form of dilute or concentrated hypochlorite and hypochlorous acid compositions. The invention also relates to uses for these particles, such as for generating hypochlorous acid vapor to control the growth of mold or bacteria, to deactivate allergens and allergen causing agents, and to control odors.
Abstract:
Cleaning compositions which enhance hard surfaces to exhibit excellent water-spreading and oil-repellency and therefore provide a “next time easier cleaning” consumer benefit contain selected copolymers capable of forming invisible, extremely thin hydrophilic films on treated surfaces. The cleaning compositions feature a water-soluble or water-dispersible copolymer having a first monomer capable of forming a cationic charge on protonation and a second monomer that is acidic and that is capable of forming an anionic charge in the compositions, and may contain an optional third monomer having an uncharged hydrophilic group and/or an optional fourth monomer that is hydrophobic. The cleaning compositions may further contain functional ingredients including surfactants, organic solvents and/or other optional adjuvants to enhance the cleaning performance and aid in preparation of the surface for effective delivery of the copolymer during a cleaning operation.
Abstract:
A cleaning composition with a limited number of ingredients contains a polyaluminum compound and surfactant. The cleaning composition optionally has an additional amount of fragrance. The cleaning composition optionally has a small amount of solvent. The cleaning composition optionally comprises a comprises a group selected from the group consisting of a dye, a builder, a fatty acid, a colorant, a preservative, a chelating agent, a colloidal silica and mixtures thereof.
Abstract:
This invention relates to articles of manufacture containing liquid compositions of hypohalous acid or hypohalous acid salt for deactivating allergens and preventing diseases on hard surfaces, soft surfaces and in the air. The articles of manufacture contain usage instructions with health claims. This invention also includes methods of instructing the public and promoting the use of these compositions.
Abstract:
A composition for simultaneously cleaning and waxing non-porous surfaces without the need for additional rinsing of the treated surface with water, has a pH of from about 6 to about 7 and contains by weight: (a) from about 0.04 to about 0.12% of an acrylic-based polymer, wherein the acrylic-based polymer is a hydrophobically modified, crosslinked polyacrylate powder which has been crosslinked with a polyalkenyl polyether or is an acrylic polymer containing acid groups and which dissolves and swells immediately when neutralized with an alkali salt (b) from about 0.5 to about 5.0% of a silicone blend composed of: (i) from about 70 to about 95% of a first polydiorganosiloxane fluid having a viscosity of from about 0.65 to about 60,000 centistokes at 25° C., and (ii) from about 5 to about 30% of a polydiorganosiloxane fluid mixture having a viscosity of from about 500 to about 2000 centistokes at 25° C., the polydiorganosiloxane fluid mixture being composed of a second polydiorganosiloxane fluid and a silicone resin; (c) wax; and (d) water. The composition can be used to simultaneously clean and wax non-porous surfaces such as the exterior surfaces of automobiles and other vehicles, windows, and the like.
Abstract:
Provided is a wipes dispensing system including a dispenser having a dispensing aperture, a pouch containing an interleaved stack of wipes or a rolled perforated web of wipes contained within the dispenser and accessed through the dispensing aperture, and a mounting element for mounting the dispenser to a mounting surface. The wipes dispensing system may further include a pivotable dispensing lid that closes against the dispensing aperture and seals the wipes from the outside environment when the wipes dispensing system is not in use.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a thermoformed litter scoop comprising a generally concave scoop portion, and a handle portion attached to the scoop portion. The scoop portion has a bottom, sides and a rear and a plurality of openings therein. The openings are defined to allow the passage of litter granules therethrough. The handle portion has reinforcing ribs and the scoop portion has reinforcing ribs. The invention also describes a method of making a thermoformed scoop.
Abstract:
This invention relates to packaging for dilute hypochlorite and hypochlorous acid compositions to produce stable compositions. Examples of suitable packaging containers are a bag-in-can device, a plastic aerosol container, a dual delivery container, a dual chambered device, an expandable chamber device, a precompression trigger sprayer, a mechanically pressurized device, and an ultrasonic sprayer.
