    摘要: The objectives of this invention are to provide a filler for separating optical isomers, capable of efficiently carrying out optical resolution of optical isomer mixtures, and to provide a process for separating optical isomers by a simulated moving bed chromatography utilizing the filler. This invention provides a filler made of a carrier supporting a specific amount of an optically active high molecular weight compound. At this end, the sample supply apparatus is composed of a plurality of sample supply vessels each with a sample liquid passageway disposed thereto, a sample liquid-amount management vessel for storing a sample to be supplied from the sample supply vessels through the sample liquid passageways and the supplying sample liquid through the liquid-amount management vessel to the simulated moving bed chromatographic device. The apparatus also has a control for alternatingly opening and closing opening-closing devices in the sample supply vessels in response to liquid levels in the sample liquid-amount management vessel.

    摘要: Distributed valve simulated moving beds are described in which junctions located between successive columns interrupt the flow of process fluid between columns, and either transmit the process fluid through a zone bypass to a succeeding column within the same zone or, if the junction is located between zones, direct the process fluid to an input/output line that is dedicated to the particular zone that immediately follows the junction. At each step of the SMB's operation, the distribution of flows in each junction is modulated to accomplish movement of ports consistent with the SMB's design. Further described are simulated moving beds that contain one or more decoupled on-line regeneration zones. The regeneration zone is decoupled from the separation zones in the sense that it observes a step time (a nullregeneration intervalnull) that is different than the step time observed by the separation zones of the SMB. Because the regeneration zone is nullon-line,null the SMB need not be stopped to remove columns for regeneration. Because the regeneration zone is decoupled from the separation zones, the column can stay in the regeneration zone as long as needed to accomplish the regeneration, regardless of the step time observed by the SMB.
