Abstract: Provided is a method for purifying a nonaqueous liquid in a simple and cost-efficient manner, without requiring a large amount of the nonaqueous liquid, by using an ion exchange resin having a reduced water content. The method for purifying a nonaqueous liquid using an ion exchange resin includes bringing the ion exchange resin into contact with a nonaqueous liquid for pretreatment having a relative permittivity at 25° C. of 20 or higher and bringing the ion exchange resin after the pretreatment into contact with a nonaqueous liquid to be purified, wherein the relative permittivity at 25° C. of the nonaqueous liquid for pretreatment is greater than the relative permittivity at 25° C. of the nonaqueous liquid to be purified, and the concentration of metals to be reduced in the nonaqueous liquid for pretreatment is 5 μg/L or less.

Abstract: A method and device of removing and recycling metals from a mixing acid solution, includes adsorbing a mixing acid solution with a pH value of −1 to 4 and a cobalt ion concentration of 100 to 1,000 mg/L by at least two cation resins in series setting to the cobalt ion concentration in the mixing acid solution is less than 10 mg/L, and then adjusting the pH value of the mixing acid solution after adsorption to meet a discharge standard, wherein the particle size of the at least two cation resins in series setting is 150˜1,200 μm. After the cation resins are saturated by adsorption, regenerating the cation resins by sulfuric acid to form a cobalt sulfate solution, and then electrolytically treating the cobalt sulfate solution to obtain electrolytic cobalt and sulfuric acid electrolyte. The operation process is simple without complicated equipment, and it can effectively recycle metals from mixing acid solutions. The cationic resin and sulfuric acid solution can also be reused, so the method of the present invention has environmental and economic benefits.

Abstract: Organic sulfur compounds which are generally present in the crude oil undergoes various transformations while processing the crude oil in the secondary processing units such as fluid catalytic cracker, hydrocracker, delayed coker, visbreaker, etc. The sulfur present in the feed which enters into these secondary processing units are distributed into various products coming out of the units. Sulfur compounds which are present in the various product fractions are removed to meet the desired specifications before routing to the final product pool. Conventionally, sulfur present in the LPG has been removed by amine treatment followed by caustic and water wash. The present invention relates to a process for removal of sulfur and other impurities from Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) comprising olefins through reactive desulfurization route. The present invention is an eco-friendly process as it minimizes or eliminates the use of caustic which is conventionally used to remove the sulfur from LPG.
