摘要: A device for enriching air with oxygen in an aircraft, and a method for operating the device provides product gas enrichment with oxygen with minimum requirements. An oxygen measurement apparatus analyzing the product gas flow as well as a throughput sensor are provided in combination with a change-over device. A flow connection to an outlet channel is created in a first switch position, and a flow connection to a consumer conduit exists in a second switch position. A device for producing a change-over signal from the first switch position to the second switch position is provided if the determined oxygen output as a product of the product gas flow and the oxygen concentration has reached or exceeded a predefined threshold value.

摘要: An air induction system for inspiration of clean air into an engine. In one embodiment, the system includes a pair of hollow molded members for communication of air flow therethrough. Each of the molded members has an end. A metal substrate having a hollow passage is located between the ends of the molded members, and the metal substrate has a first end and a second end. The first end is connected to the end on one of the molded members, and the second end is connected to the end on the other molded member to form a pathway for air to flow through the molded members and the metal substrate. The metal substrate may be coated with a material for adsorbing hydrocarbons, and it may be connected to the molded members with an over molded connection joint. The connection joint is designed to provide a permanent leak resistant connection between the metal substrate and molded members.

摘要: An apparatus and method for abating toxic and/or hazardous gas species in a diluent gas stream line deriving from a by-pass line of a semiconductor process tool, comprising contacting the diluent gas stream with a dry resin sorbent material having an affinity for the toxic and/or hazardous gas species to effect the removal of at least a portion of the toxic and/or hazardous gas species by a chemisorbent or physisorbent reaction between the sorbent bed and the toxic gas component effectively reduces the concentration of the toxic gas component in the process diluent stream to below TLV.

摘要: A gas recovery system for improving the efficiency of abatement and/or implementing reclamation and reuse of unused feed materials in effluent of a semiconductor manufacturing facility, especially in instances in which substantial portions of feed material are unused. The effluent is treated to reversibly capture the unused feed material, e.g., at a capture locus such as a physical adsorbent, cold finger, cryotrap, heat exchanger/condenser, membrane separation unit, filter, etc., and the captured unused feed material then is released from the capture locus and processed for such abatement and/or reclamation and reuse.

摘要: The invention relates to a method and an apparatus for cleaning ambient air by means of an adsorption unit (8) arranged in a vehicle, which vehicle includes a combustion engine (1) and a ventilation system (5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11) for a passenger compartment. Adsorption takes place whether the engine (1) is running or switched off. In adsorption mode, a fan (11) is operated to force ambient air from an inlet (6) to the ventilation system in a first direction, through an adsorption unit (8), and out of an outlet (10) of the ventilation system. In desorption mode the engine is running and air is supplied to a first heating means (13). The heated air is passed through the adsorption unit (8) to release the pollutants and regenerate said unit. The air containing the pollutants is passed through a second heating means (4, 16) and is then passed through the first heating means (13) to heat the said ambient air. Finally, the polluted air is drawn from the heat exchanger (13) to an intake conduit (3) of the combustion engine (1).
