摘要: A nozzle spray assembly for insecticide made in two halves that are connected together and define an internal reservoir. The lower half has an arcuate shaped exterior surface and includes an inlet tube in communication with the reservoir. The lower half also has nozzle openings adjacent the arcuate surface so that when air is directed over the arcuate surface past the nozzle openings fluid is sucked into the inlet tube and reservoir and out the nozzle openings to spray insecticide onto the surrounding area.

摘要: A thermal spraying apparatus that is capable of effectively preventing the adhesion of spray fumes to unsprayed regions of a bore surface during arc spraying is provided. To this end, a thermal spraying apparatus 10 comprises a spray gun 6 that moves within a cylinder bore. The spray gun 6 has at one end thereof a first discharge opening (atomizing nozzle 62) that faces a direction that is orthogonal to the movement direction, has a second discharge opening (auxiliary nozzle 63) that faces a direction that is orthogonal to the nozzle 62, and has, at a predetermined region located further to the side in the movement direction of the spray gun 6 than the nozzle 62, third discharge openings (fume adhesion prevention nozzles 65) for discharging a fluid and that faces the same direction as the nozzle 62. A droplet, which forms as an arc spray wire material melts at the tip of the spray gun 6, is stretched with auxiliary air A1. By blowing atomizing air A2 onto the droplet, spray particles are formed and sprayed onto the bore surface. At the same time, fume adhesion prevention air A3 is blown towards the cylinder bore surface in synchrony with the spraying of the spray particles.

摘要: A spray device including a fan located in a housing provided with an air outlet guide for generating an air stream having a predetermined velocity. A nozzle unit for the discharge of liquid therefrom, producing a mist stream capable of being propelled to a predetermined location and having a measurable and controllable lateral dimension at the predetermined location. The spray device is used particularly for moistening cattle, especially cows, in sheds, and taking into account the effect of the wind. Rows of sprayers project water sprays directed toward the cattle. The sprayers may be angularly shifted to take into account the deviating effect of the wind. A processor calculates the angular shift that is needed for the existing wind direction and intensity. All the sprayers concurrently receive the angular shift, which is transmitted to the first sprayer from a control station and successively from each sprayer to the next.

摘要: A dispersion apparatus for dispersing a treating agent into a fluid treatment system that includes a flow duct in which a fluid stream flowing through the duct is mixed with the treating agent. The apparatus is based on a multi-pipe lance positioned in the stream flow, where each pipe supplies a minimum of feed discharge nozzles (typically one to four), and the individual pipes branch off from the same location. Use of the multi-pipe lance, in combination with a suitable baffle, results in better overall dispersion/distribution of the injected medium by surface area. By improving the surface area distribution, better utilization of the injected sorbent can be achieved. The baffle acts to generate a low pressure zone on its downstream side and creates a high-intensity turbulence plume in the fluid. The orifices of the pipe are located to inject the treating agent into the turbulence plume to better distribute and intermix the injected treating agent into the surrounding fluid.

摘要: A clog-resistant injector spray nozzle allows relatively unobtrusive insertion through a small access aperture into existing ductwork in occupied buildings for atomized particulate sealing of a ductwork. The spray nozzle comprises an easily cleaned and easily replaced straight liquid tube whose liquid contents are principally propelled by a heated propellant gas, such as heated air. Heat transfer is minimized from the heated propellant gas to the liquid tube until they both exit the injector, thereby greatly reducing the likelihood of nozzle clogging. A method of duct sealing using particles driven by heated propellant gas is described, whereby duct-sealing operations become both faster, and commercially practicable in inhabited commercial and residential buildings.

摘要: In the method for interspersing a gas flow (8) with fluid droplets (5), the fluid droplets (5) are injected in a fluid injection plane into the gas flow (8), characterised in that an auxiliary gas (6.1, 6.2) is simultaneously injected with the fluid droplets (5) into the gas flow (8). The injection speed of the auxiliary gas (6.1, 6.2) is larger than the injection speed of the fluid droplets (5) so that the injected auxiliary gas (6.1, 6.2) stabilises the injected fluid droplets (5) with respect to trajectory and size, partly shields them from the gas flow (8) and/or entrains them into the gas flow (8). By way of this one achieves an improved control of the spatial distribution of the fluid droplets (5) and their size distribution. The fluid droplets (5) penetrate the gas flow (8) more efficiently than without an auxiliary gas (6.1, 6.2). A preferred use is the online wet-cleaning of a gas turbine compressor.

摘要: Devices for generating a vapor jet from a source liquid comprise a capillary force vaporizer and a condensation controller. Generally, a capillary force vaporizer comprises a porous vaporizer having capillary-sized pores, an enclosure and a vapor egress orifice. The capillary force vaporizer forms a vapor jet from unpressurized liquid by heating the liquid to vaporization in a substantially confined volume. Vapor output from the liquid vaporization section enters the condensation controller, which may be configured to prevent the condensation of vapor or promote the controlled formation of fine liquid droplets, which are generally less than about 100 μm diameter. The condensation controller may be maintained at a predetermined temperature. Alternatively, ambient air or other external gases may be introduced into the condensation controller. Various architectures for the vapor condensation controller are disclosed.
