For example, a single track member may serve as both the floor track and the ceiling track. Also, a single type of spring clip may be used to attach several components to the frame, such as opaque panel skins and window panels, as well as to attach trim pieces to the floor and ceiling tracks, which mask the adjustable connections of the panel frame thereto.

    摘要： An integrated prefabricated furniture system is provided for fitting-out a building space of the type having a generally open plan interior defined by fixed walls. The furniture system includes a wall-covering frame, freestanding partition frames, and floor-to-ceiling frames that can be interconnected to subdivide the building space. The wall-covering frame is constructed to be positioned against and selectively cover portions of the fixed walls, and the portable partition system and the floor-to-ceiling frames are constructed to spatially divide the building space into a plurality of work areas, with at least one of the freestanding partition frames having an end abutted against the wall-covering frame. A plurality of cover panels are removably attached to the wall-covering frame and to the freestanding partition frames for covering the wall-covering frame, the freestanding partition frames, and the floor-to-ceiling frames. The cover panels include upper and lower cover panels that have bottom and top horizontal edges, respectively, that are spaced vertically apart to define a belt-high utility zone therebetween. The belt-high utility zone has a relatively narrow vertical dimension and extends continuously horizontally along the wall-covering frame and the freestanding partition frames at a common worksurface height to present a uniform horizontal appearance datum throughout the building space. Some of the upper cover panels on the wall-covering frame and on the freestanding partition frames have an identical size and shape, so that the identical upper cover panels can be selectively interchanged between the wall-covering frame and the freestanding partition frames.

    摘要： A reconfigurable office partition includes a movable panel with a rigid frame, a core panel mounted therein, and at least one cover panel detachably mounted on the frame and enclosing an associated portion thereof. The frame has at least one vertical stile with first and second channels that extend longitudinally therealong and are shaped to receive utilities therein through outwardly opening sides. The outwardly opening sides of the channels are juxtaposed in opposite directions to facilitate routing utilities along both faces of the panel. A variable height frame support may be positioned between the top of the panel and the building ceiling for floor-to-ceiling applications.

    摘要： A demountable overhead utility cover unit is provided for use in a building room having a generally open plan for the purpose of transitioning between ceilings of different heights. The units are assembled in an end-to-end fashion and may be disassembled to take to a new location. Each unit comprises a horizontal header having hanging brackets on a top surface, a vertical support structure attached to the header and depending therefrom, a horizontal trough attached to the bottom of the vertical support structure and adapted to abut a top surface of the wall panels of a demountable movable wall system, and a plurality of cover panels attached to the support structure and positioned between the header and trough. Each of the cover panels has a horizontally elongated front elevational shape and the panels are detachably attached to the vertical support structure. One of the cover panels is adapted to interface with a building ventilation duct and has a ventilation grate to facilitate the flow of ventilation air to an interior of the building room.

    摘要： A demountable panel system has panel members formed with peripheral edge surround sections of extruded rigid material. The surround sections included channels to receive panel material and leg portions with opposed grooves to releasably engage with a clip rail section. The clip rail section enables various panel structures, such as corner posts, to be interconnected with the panel members. The clip rail section has a tongue extending generally in the direction perpendicular to the panel member and so shaped as to be resiliently engageable with a tongue of an adjacent clip rail section whereby panel members or other panel structures can be clipped together along their length by relative transverse movement. The clip rail section includes opposed, outwardly extending flanges and perpendicular leg parts which cooperate with the channels of the surround section to form a recess having a narrow mouth. A workstation support bracket is retained behind a nib in the recess and wedges therein to lock the bracket relative to the panel members.
