Abstract:
The disclosure of this application is directed to a downhole tool comprising a central element/member and a sleeve that is rotatably and orbitally disposed around the central element/member. The sleeve rotates and orbits around the central element/member responsive to fluid flowing through the downhole too. The disclosure is also related to a method of advancing the downhole tool in a well by flowing fluid through the tool.

Abstract:
A steering head for use with a casing, the steering head having a generally cylindrical body with a first body end with a lead edge, a second body end with a rear edge, and a body surface extending from the lead edge to the rear edge, an outer tube with an internal side generally facing the body surface, the outer tube extending from the first body end to the second body end, and a steering flap disposed on an external side of the outer tube having a first flap face facing radially inwardly and a second flap face facing radially outwardly. A biased hinge is secured to both the outer tube and the steering flap, the biased hinge being operative to retract the steering flap into a retracted position from an extending position.
Abstract:
A collapsible cutter bit or rock head for use with an underground auger boring machine has an expanded position for cutting rock in front of an underground pipe and a collapsed position for withdrawing the rock head through the underground pipe. The auger boring machine is configured to bore a passage through a body of soil and rock and simultaneously lay the underground pipe in the passage. Forward rotation of the cutter bit causes expansion while collapse of the cutter bit may be driven by reverse rotation of the cutter bit or another mechanism.
Abstract:
An apparatus for drilling the ground, in particular for the installation of foundation piles, includes a drilling turret (2) with a vertical guiding antenna (3), a rotary head for driving drilling batteries including a continuous ground drilling rotary propeller (5) housed inside at least one covering tube (7). A inner drive is adapted to drive said propeller (5), and a second external drive is connected to the tube (7) and allowing movement thereof, a driving cab (8) for an operator, which includes all the manipulators for operating the machine and the systems for displaying measured parameters. The apparatus further includes a system for controlling the excavation parameters, which is enabled to receive information from the drilling parameter control sensors.

Abstract:
A temporary casing is disclosed. The casing includes a primary portion capable of being driven into the ground and comprising a hollow portion wherein soil may be removed from within the primary casing portion, a detachable portion, also being capable of being driven into the ground and comprising a hollow portion wherein soil may be removed from within the detachable portion, a connection means for connecting the primary casing to the detachable portion such that the connection means enables the transfer of the driving force applied to the primary casing portion to the detachable portion in order to drive the detachable portion into the ground in association with the primary casing portion, wherein the connection means causes the detachable portion to detach from the primary portion when a threshold force is applied to the connection means and allows retrieval of at least the primary portion.
Abstract:
A boring system and method for same, relating to the boring system and method therefor, in particular to the boring system and method therefor for forming boring holes on the ground, which includes a bit unit for boring the ground, a connecting rod connected with a driving device for transmitting driving force to the bit unit, and a guide unit connected with the connecting rod in a longitudinal direction, the guide unit guiding movement of the bit unit along a guide groove which is formed in a casing inserted into an adjacent boring hole in a longitudinal direction, is disclosed.
Abstract:
A pilot tube drive assembly used with an auger boring machine includes a height adjustment mechanism for aligning the pilot tube path of travel with an axis about which an auger of the machine rotates during trenchless installation of underground pipe. A drive mechanism mounted on a drive assembly frame drives the pilot tube to form a pilot hole in the ground for guiding the auger. The height adjustment mechanism may include shorter and taller mounting assemblies which are typically removably mounted on the drive assembly frame. The shorter and taller mounting assemblies may be alternately mounted on the frame at the same location. Typically, the mounting assemblies are removably mounted on spaced rails of an auger boring machine frame via mounting legs which are removably inserted into openings in the spaced rails by an actuating mechanism between the rails.
Abstract:
In a method for multistage manufacture of a borehole between two earth shafts, a drilling device drills in a first direction a pilot bore between a starting shaft and an end shaft and lines the pilot bore with pipes. Subsequently, the pilot bore is expanded in a second direction opposite to the first direction to form an expansion bore which is simultaneously lined with pipes, while accumulating soil is transported into the end shaft in opposition to the second direction with the aid of a screw conveyor.
