The device may be substantially in the shape of a sheet having a width of about six inches and a length of about eight inches. The first layer may be comprised of a backing. The second layer may be comprised of an adhesive. The third layer may be comprised of a clear material. In at least one embodiment the first layer can be removed from the device, exposing the second layer, and the second layer can then be adhered to a bag to cover an opening in the bag with a combination of the second layer and the third layer.

    摘要： A food container is disclosed that is adapted for facilitating venting of gasses to and/or from the interior of a body of the food container. The food container includes a container body, a lid and a sealing membrane. At least one skip seal or gap is formed between the sealing membrane and the container body to facilitate venting. During formation of the at least one skip seal a recess in either the lid or rim of the container reduces pressure at the skip seal to reduce or eliminate inadvertent closing of the skip seal.

    摘要： A heat-shrinkable multilayer film comprises (A) a first layer, which is an outer layer, and which comprises polyolefin; (B) a second layer comprising at least one member selected from the group consisting of polyolefin, polystyrene, and polyurethane; (C) a third layer comprising at least one member selected from the group consisting of amorphous polyester and polyester having a melting point of from about 130° C. to about 260° C.; (D) a fourth layer, which is an outer layer, the fourth layer comprising at least one member selected from the group consisting of polyester, polyamide and polyurethane. The first layer preferably serves as a seal layer in a heat-shrinkable bag. The third layer provides enhanced impact strength, optics, grease-resistance, and free-shrink of the film, and renders the tape more easily orientable. The high melting polyester, polyamide, and/or polyurethane of the fourth layer permits at least two bags, having product therein, to be stacked on top of one another and sealed simultaneously, without sticking to one another, thereby doubling the output of a vacuum chamber machine. A bag and a process of making a packaged product are also disclosed.

    摘要： A device is described for closing and laterally sealing plastic film wrapped bundles containing sheets or the like, by wrapping them in a thermally shrinkable plastic film, which comprises two sealing plates (25,26) suitable to be moved against lateral opposite sides of a bundle (29) for sealing them. These plates (25,26) are preferably hinged on two slides (2,3 ) suitable to be contemporaneously either approached or moved apart from each other as a function of the width of the bundle (29) to be laterally sealed. Two nozzles (31,32) are moreover provided, which form air jets against laterally protruding portions (30) of the plastic film, so that said protruding portions are easily folded by said plates (25,26). A so closed and sealed bundle is then carried inside an oven for thermally shrinking the wrapped film.
