Abstract: Systems are provided for generating data representing electromagnetic states of a heart for medical, scientific, research, and/or engineering purposes. The systems generate the data based on source configurations such as dimensions of, and scar or fibrosis or pro-arrhythmic substrate location within, a heart and a computational model of the electromagnetic output of the heart. The systems may dynamically generate the source configurations to provide representative source configurations that may be found in a population. For each source configuration of the electromagnetic source, the systems run a simulation of the functioning of the heart to generate modeled electromagnetic output (e.g., an electromagnetic mesh for each simulation step with a voltage at each point of the electromagnetic mesh) for that source configuration. The systems may generate a cardiogram for each source configuration from the modeled electromagnetic output of that source configuration for use in predicting the source location of an arrhythmia.

Abstract: Edge devices utilizing personalized machine learning and methods of operating the same are disclosed. An example edge device includes a model accessor to access a first machine learning model from a cloud service provider. A local data interface is to collect local user data. A model trainer is to train the first machine learning model to create a second machine learning model using the local user data. A local permissions data store is to store permissions indicating constraints on the local user data with respect to sharing outside of the edge device. A permissions enforcer is to apply permissions to the local user data to create a sub-set of the local user data to be shared outside of the edge device. A transmitter is to provide the sub-set of the local user data to a public data repository.

Abstract: Automatically determining a medical recommendation for a patient based on multiple medical images from multiple different medical imaging modalities. In some embodiments, a method may include receiving a first and second medical images of a patient from first and second medical imaging modalities, mapping a first region of interest (ROI) on the first medical image to a second ROI on the second medical image, generating first annotation data related to the first ROI and second annotation data related to the second ROI, generating first medical clinical data related to the first ROI and second medical clinical data related to the second ROI, inputting, into a machine learning classifier, the first and second annotation data and the first and second medical clinical data, and automatically determining, by the machine learning classifier, a medical recommendation for the patient related to a medical condition of the patient.

Abstract: Image encoding within a pixelated privacy mask area is adapted in order to reduce flickering during movement of a camera. Motion vectors are set equal to the movement of the camera, and residuals are set to zero, thereby encoding pixel blocks within the privacy mask area as copies of corresponding pixel blocks in a reference image.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer-storage media, for escape detection and mitigation for aquaculture. In some implementations, a method includes obtaining one or more images that depict one or more fish within an enclosure; generating, as a result of providing the one or more images to multiple detection models, a value that reflects a quantity of fish that are depicted in the images that are likely a member of each different type of fish; detecting an error condition relating to a possible opening of the enclosure based at least on the value; and in response to detecting the error condition relating to the possible opening of the enclosure, initiating one or more mitigation actions relating to the possible opening.

Abstract: Elements to be provided for display with an instance of content can be determined dynamically based upon features of those elements. The actions or behavior of a user can be stored over time, and used to determine element features that are of interest to the user for various categories of content. In order to obtain enough data for multiple categories, clustering of users can be performed where users with similar behaviors are grouped together, and their preferences for features determined for various categories. When a request for content is received, a category and user identity can be determined for the request, which is used to determine the appropriate cluster. The feature preferences for that cluster can then be used to select elements (e.g., images, audio, or video) to present with the content based at least in part upon the relevant features of those elements.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to an information processing apparatus and a method that allows for suppression of a decrease in encoding efficiency. In comparison of voxel data resulting from quantization of point cloud data, a correlation degree of a distribution pattern between voxel data to be compared is calculated on the basis of a subjective feature of the distribution pattern of values of the voxel data. The present disclosure is applicable to an information processing apparatus, an image processing apparatus, an electronic device, an information processing method, a program, or the like, for example.

Abstract: Detection of typed and/or pasted text, caret tracking, and active element detection for a computing system are disclosed. The location on the screen associated with a computing system where the user has been typing or pasting text, potentially including hot keys or other keys that do not cause visible characters to appear, can be identified and the physical position on the screen where typing or pasting occurred can be provided based on the current resolution of where one or more characters appeared, where the cursor was blinking, or both. This can be done by identifying locations on the screen where changes occurred and performing text recognition and/or caret detection on these locations. The physical position of the typing or pasting activity allows determination of an active or focused element in an application displayed on the screen.
