摘要: A configuration of an image processing apparatus is simplified. In a display apparatus, a first sub input image and a second sub input image are input to a first back-end processor, and a first residual input image and a second residual input image are input to a second back-end processor. A first entire input image is constituted by combining the first sub input image and the first input image. In a case where the display apparatus processes the first entire input image, the first back-end processor processes the first sub input image, and the second back-end processor processes the first residual input image.

摘要: An electronic device includes a display panel that outputs content through a plurality of pixels, a display driver integrated circuit configured to transmit a driving signal for driving the display panel, and a processor configured to transmit image data and/or a control signal to the display driver integrated circuit. In the case where the display driver integrated circuit receives first image data transmitted together with a command of a first command group from the processor, the display driver integrated circuit is configured to store the first image data in a first memory area. In the case where the display driver integrated circuit receives second image data transmitted together with a command of a second command group from the processor, the display driver integrated circuit is configured to store the second image data in a second memory area different from the first memory area.

摘要: A special-purpose hardware device for achieving intraframe image processing in head-mounted displays may include an image-correction component that receives a single image frame destined to be displayed for presentation to a user wearing a head-mounted-display system. The image-correction component may also receive user-motion data indicating that the user wearing the head-mounted-display system has made at least one movement since generation of the single image frame. The image-correction component may further perform hardware-accelerated intraframe processing operations on the single image frame in accordance with the user-motion data to compensate for the movement made by the user on a line-by-line basis. In addition, the special-purpose hardware device may include a frame-output interface that feeds the single image frame to a display device of the head-mounted-display system to facilitate displaying the single image frame for presentation to the user. Various other apparatuses, systems, and methods are also disclosed.

摘要: A system for encoding and decoding a frame (also file), such as a video, graphic, media, or other frame or data, representing a real-time graphic output from a frame buffer, output by a video camera, or another file or data. The file includes frames each comprising macroblocks. Reference frame buffers (PFTs), virtual frame buffer tables (VFTBs) of equal number to the PFTs, each VFTB corresponds to a respective PFT, and respective sectors of each PFT for respective macroblocks are created. Frames of the file are encoded/decoded by successive encode/decode of macroblocks. A pointer is created in the VFBT associated with the PFT rather than encoding/decoding any matching macroblock. The pointer and its reference are relied on for each already encoded/decoded macroblock retained in the PFT. Processing, memory, bandwidth and power requirements for encoding or decoding are reduced.
