摘要: The energy storage module of the battery pack is located in the housing, the heat insulation panel is located between the energy storage module and the housing, the heat insulation panel includes a heat insulation layer and an outer packaging layer. The outer packaging layer wraps the outside of the heat insulation layer and compresses a thickness of the elastic heat, insulation layer, and a ventilation channel is formed between the heat insulation panel and the energy storage module. The outer packaging layer is configured to release compression of the elastic heat insulation layer when the energy storage module reaches a thermal runaway temperature, and the heat insulation panel is filled between the housing and the energy storage module, thereby slowing down a speed at which heat passes through a side panel and spreads to the outside of the battery pack along the ventilation channel.

摘要: In an embodiment, a battery module is configured for insertion into a battery module compartment of an energy storage system. The battery module includes a first exterior plate configured with a male joining section, a second exterior plate that is adjacent to the first exterior plate and configured with a female joining section, wherein the first and second exterior plates are joined together via the male and female joining sections without welding. In an example, by joining the first and second exterior plates (e.g., and optionally, other exterior plates of the battery module as well) without welding, problems associated with heat from a welding process as well as spatters and dirt accumulation at battery cells of the battery module can be reduced or avoided.

摘要: Electric vehicle battery packs with external side enclosures for containing electrical connectors and other components therein. Each enclosure is sized to support various connectors or other components as desired, and may have a number of openings formed to provide interfaces for connecting various electric vehicle systems to the battery pack. The enclosures may be placed at various locations along one or more sides of the battery pack, and connectors may be routed over an upper surface of a battery pack frame or through a gap formed between the pack frame and cover. Enclosures may be made of any material, including plastic for lower weight applications and metal for improved electromagnetic interference shielding.

摘要: A battery pack assembly includes battery cells, a first endplate adjacent a first end of the battery cells, a second endplate adjacent an opposite, second end of the battery cells, and a tension member. The first and second endplates are each slidably coupled to the tension member. A compressible member is disposed between the first endplate and a section of an enclosure. The compressible member is configured to compress in response to the battery cells expanding and moving the first endplate toward the section of the enclosure.

A power storage device includes biasing means for biasing the plurality of power storage cells toward the second inner side surface of the case, the biasing means being provided between the first inner side surface of the case and the plurality of power storage cells.
