    摘要: A process of making an adjustable diameter barrel form includes the steps of providing a sheet formed of metal and folding the sheet along a widthwise bend. Pressure is applied to the sheet along the bend within a rolling device. The sheet is rolled within the rolling device over its length gradually moving the bend from one lengthwise end to the other lengthwise end while applying the pressure. The pressure is removed to release the sheet so that the sheet can roll up in a lengthwise direction into a coil. The rolling device can include a pair of rollers, an arbor, and a mandrel on the arbor. The rolling device can include a base plate, a press plate, and a mandrel between the plates.

    摘要: When a hollow billet is inserted into a container, and hot expanding piercing is downwardly performed by using a plug, hot piercing is performed by using a formed glass complex comprising a ring-shaped formed glass part and a ring-shaped projecting part. The ring-shaped formed glass part assumes a disc shape having a circular opening for allowing a plug to be inserted at the center thereof. The ring-shaped projecting part is attached to the opening of the ring-shaped formed glass part, and assumes a ring shape projecting perpendicularly to the ring-shaped formed glass part. Thereby, the piercing work can be done safely, and defects can be prevented from occurring on the inner surface of the billet.

The stent can include a continuous helical winding having interconnected struts joined at vertices, and having bridges connecting sections of the helical winding to each other. An annular ring can be provided at one or both ends of the helical winding, and the annular ring can have five extensions extending to connect to the helical winding. One of the extensions can connect to a bridge and another extension can connect to a vertex. The struts at the ends of the helical winding can have strut lengths that differ from the strut lengths of the struts in a central portion of the winding between the ends of the winding.
