摘要: The present invention relates to a method of preparing a coated molded article (59) by means of in-mold coating. The method involves the use of a mold apparatus (1) that includes a rotatable core (29) having at least one molding surface (32, 35), a first die (11) and a second die (17) each having an internal surface (14, 20) and each of which are reversibly engageable with the rotatable core. The second die (17) has a reversibly slidable portion (23) having an internal surface (26) that defines substantially the internal surface (20) of the second die (17). The internal surface (14) of the first die (11) and a molding surface (32) of the rotatable core together define a first mold cavity (38) in which a molded plastic article (44) is formed. The mold apparatus is opened, the core (29) is rotated to align the molded plastic article (44) with the internal surface (20) of the second die (17). The second die (17) is engaged with the rotatable core (29), and an intermediate second mold cavity (53) is formed, into which a coating composition (56) is introduced. The reversibly slidable portion (23) of the second die (17) is moved towards the rotatable core (29), thus reducing the volume of the intermediate second mold cavity (53) and causing the coating composition (56) introduced therein to spread over the first surface (50) of the molded plastic article (44). The mold apparatus (1) is opened and a coated molded article (59) is removed from the rotatable core (29). The present invention also relates to a mold apparatus (1).

摘要: A mechanism for simultaneous angle adjustment of support elements (4), particularly for setting up a mold structure for the steps of a straight staircase, has a casing (9) in which at least two interdependent shafts (6) are arranged. Each of the shafts (6) extends into the next shaft in a nested configuration where the successive intervals between the shafts are adjustable. Each shaft has a threaded portion (6a) traversing an internally threaded block (11) that is located in the casing and holds one of the support elements (4). A shaft (12), running parallel to the two or more shafts (6), passes through the blocks and is equipped with eccentrics (13), where each of the eccentrics (13) is respectively associated with one of the blocks (11). The eccentrics are constrained to share the rotation of the shaft (12), and the eccentric of each block interacts with the respective support element that is associated with that block, so that by pushing against the support element, the eccentric sets the support element to a predetermined slope angle (A).

摘要: A modular structure consisting of three modular units of approximately the same size, the center module being the primary module containing the mechanical components of the building, with plumbing, air conditioning and heating ducts, and electrical wiring in the slab floor structural foundation and door jambs. The primary module used to transport the entire structure is completed at the factory, requiring no further work at jobsite, with heating and cooling unit, hot water heater, cabinets and appliances, plumbing and light fixtures and accessories installed at the factory in permanent locations. The major exterior walls, slab floor foundation panels, and ceiling/roof panels for all three modules are similarly manufactured in one piece in full width and the length of the building, eliminating joints, speeding assembly and strengthening the components. The major components of the side modules, consisting of the slab floor foundation panels, ceiling/roof panels and the exterior side walls, are all hinged so that they fold to the side and on top of the primary module. Accessories and wall panels and partitions not hinged are placed on top of the primary module for transportation. Two end walls are bolted to the center module during transportation to the site. At the pre-leveled permanent site, the primary module is lowered to the ground and the hinged slab floor foundation panels, which include hinged and folded exterior walls, along with the ceiling/roof panels, are unfolded and permanently fastened in place for that site, but can be refolded if later relocation is needed. The slab floor foundation panels for all three modules are placed directly on the ground or on a pre-built foundation, single or multi-level design. If a pitched roof was ordered, trusses and pre-sized roofing panels transported on top of the primary module are attached to the flat roof of the center module. Two or more of these triple modules can be joined side-to-side or end-to-end or on top of each other, for erection of multiple-unit buildings.

摘要: Methods for manufacturing highly insulating connector rods and highly insulating composite wall structures using such connector rods. The connector rods are highly insulating and are injection molded in a single step from an appropriate resinous material or moldable plastic. Discontinuous fibers may be impregnated within the resinous material or other moldable plastic. The single step molding method yields connector rods having pointed ends for facilitating entry through an insulating layer and a first structural layer not yet cured, and also an enlarged head for receiving an impact from a hammer or mallet or for facilitating gripping by the installer. The enlarged head also provides an anchoring effect within a second structural layer upon curing. The connector rods are manufactured to include a ridge or flange to limit the depth of penetration by the connector rod when inserted into the insulating material when forming the composite wall structure. The ridge or flange also helps to prevent the collapse of the second structural layer towards the first structural layer after formation of the composite wall structure and implementation at a building site.
