Abstract:
A method of manufacturing an ultrasound probe includes: forming a probe body; forming a coating portion by applying a liquid containing a resin component as a main component and a filler to a predetermined region on an outer surface of the probe body and heating the liquid; and forming a mold portion by placing the probe body on which the coating portion is formed in a die and pouring a resin containing a same component as the resin component serving as the main component of the coating portion in the die.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing a textile/thermoplastic resin composite part, comprising the following steps: (a) providing a mould; (b) applying at least one composition (A) comprising at least one thermoplastic resin; (c) heating the mould; (d) applying the textile to the heated thermoplastic resin; (e) cooling the mould; (f) unmoulding.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to equipment covers. More particularly, the present invention relates to a method of making an equipment cover, the method comprising: moulding a cover from a substantially transparent or translucent polymer, optionally a thermoplastic polymer, to form a cover having a textured outer surface and a generally smoother inner surface; and applying a coating having reflective components to the inner surface.
Abstract:
A contact lens comprises a transparent pupil region and an iris region surrounding the pupil region. The iris region comprises a colored pattern portion. A plurality of pigments are dispersed in the colored pattern portion. The disclosure also provides a method for making a contact lens.
Abstract:
A display apparatus includes a display module having a display surface configured to display an image, and a window member disposed on the display surface. The window member includes a flexible base layer having a plurality of concave patterns defined on an upper portion thereof, and a plurality of hard coating patterns each disposed in a respective one of the concave patterns and having a hardness greater than the hardness of the flexible base layer.
Abstract:
A functional polymeric cutting edge structure and methods for the manufacturing cutting edge structures using polymeric materials are provided. A razor blade for use in a razor cartridge or a blade box for assembly in a razor cartridge frame may be formed using the present invention.
Abstract:
A method including the selection of a piece of jewelry with a setting, and inserting a mixture of transparent resin and cremation ashes in the setting.
Abstract:
The present invention provides coating compositions with excellent curing performance. Curing can occur very rapidly for excellent cycle time, yet with minimal (if any) foaming. A preferred catalyst system helps to provide excellent initial and follow through cure through the entirety of the coating thickness, even with respect to in-mold coating (IMC) applications. Preferred aspects of the invention provide a composition having zero, or nearly zero, emissions of volatile organic compounds (VOC) when applied and cured.
Abstract:
A method to manufacture a blade, especially to manufacture a blade of a wind turbine is provided. An arrangement including a mold is provided and used to carry layers of blade-components. A dry-powder is applied at least to an inner surface of the mold, before the layers are arranged onto the inner surface of the mold. Thus the mold includes a dry powder-coat as a bottom layer.
Abstract:
A method for fast curing a component made from composite laminate. The method rapidly raising the temperature of the component by applying heat at an accelerated temperature for a ramp time, holding the temperature of the component at a set temperature for a set dwell time, and removing heat from the component to slow curing process. The method may additionally include inspecting the component after removing the component from heat, and curing the component a final time to equivalent or better strength.
