摘要: A damping control device and a damping control method for controlling damping of a vehicle are provided. Damping control of the vehicle is performed by adaptively switching a damping mode while considering energy consumption (fuel economy, a consumption amount of a battery, and the like) according to a state of the vehicle such as a state of an interior of the vehicle, a driving state of the vehicle, and an ambient environment. That is, the state of an interior of the vehicle, the driving state of the vehicle, and the ambient environment are constantly monitored, and the damping mode is switched to a weak damping mode in the case where unnecessity of damping as strong as a current state is determined whereas the damping mode is switched to a strong damping mode in the case where necessity of stronger damping is determined.

The air spring transfers force of a first load path between the top mount and the bottom mount. The air spring includes a pressurized cavity containing pressurized gas that transfers the force of the first load path. The linear actuator transfers force of a second load path between the top mount and the bottom mount in parallel to the first load path. The rigid housing defines at least part of the pressurized cavity and transfers the force of the second load path.

摘要: A twin tube damper assembly includes a main tube defining a fluid chamber. An external tube extends about the main tube defining a compensation chamber therebetween. A piston, slidably disposed in the fluid chamber, divides the fluid chamber into a compression chamber and a rebound chamber. A rod guide is disposed in the rebound chamber, attached to the main tube and the external tube, defining at least one channel in fluid communication with the rebound and compensation chambers. A piston rod extends through the rod guide and is attached to the piston. A pressure rate sensitive system, disposed in the rebound chamber, is attached to the rod guide in fluid communication with the at least one channel, the rebound chamber, and the compensation chamber for regulating the working fluid flow through the rod guide between the rebound and compensation chambers during compression and rebound strokes.
