摘要: A tray for use with printer, copier, facsimile machine or any other device from which sheets of paper are expelled and which is arranged to be located on a support surface, e.g., a table, desk, etc., having an edge. The tray may be formed so that it is collapsible and arranged to be stored in a collapsed state in a flat container. Whether collapsible or not the tray is arranged to be releasably mounted on the support surface adjacent and completely below the device to collect the sheets of paper expelled from the device. The tray has a basket section, an anchor section, and an intermediate support section. The anchor section is arranged to be located on the support surface under the device so that the weight of the device holds it in place. The intermediate support section is hingedly connected to the anchor section and overhangs the edge of the support surface when the tray is in place. The basket section is hingedly connected to the intermediate support section so that it is suspended from the intermediate support section and overhangs the edge of the support surface. The basket section has a wedge shaped interior bounded by a front wall extending at an angle to vertical when said basket section is suspended overhanging the edge of the support surface. The tray is adjustable with respect to the device when suspended so that the first sheet of paper expelled from the device drops directly into said hollow interior of the basket section and rests against its front wall and the next successive sheet drops into the hollow interior and rests against the first sheet. Successive sheets drop into the basket section in a similar manner to form a collated stack of sheets of paper. A backer panel may be provided to be releasably secured to the basket section to hold the basket section at a desired orientation of its front wall.

摘要: An apparatus for regulating a leading end stacked position in a stacker for successively stacking thin sheet materials. The apparatus for regulating leading end stacked positions of thin sheet materials which are introduced into a thin sheet material stacker at high speeds, and are dropped and stacked one upon another, comprises: a retractable damping ruler normally standing by at a stand-by position upstream of a predetermined leading end stacking position, and adapted to preferentially abut the leading end of a thin sheet material each time when the thin sheet material introduced into the stacker is obliquely dropped and then retracted; a stationary ruler always located at the predetermined leading end stacking position, and adapted to finally abut the leading end of the thin sheet material, in place of the damping ruler which is retracted in association with abutting thereof against the thin sheet material; and a restoring mechanism for returning the damping ruler to the stand-by position each time when the sheet material is dropped below the damping ruler.

摘要: This is a pair of improvements for a plot rolling mechanism for a pen plotter or the like having a rolling mechanism with an entry opening and a receiving bin for receiving rolled plots. The first improvement comprises a sealing mechanism for sealing the entry opening during plotting, the sealing mechanism being rotatable between a sealing position blocking the entry opening and a retracted position not blocking the entry opening and apparatus for rotating the sealing mechanism between the sealing position and the retracted position. The second improvement comprises the receiving bin having a horizontal slot opening across the width adjacent a top edge thereof, the slot opening being of a height and width sufficient to pass a largest rolled plot therethrough; and, a flap hinged adjacent the top edge and extending over the slot, the flap having a weight sufficient to maintain it over the slot under normal use and light enough to deflect and open the slot under the weight of the lightest rolled plot expected when a rolled plot entering the receiving bin is rolling off a maximum number of allowed rolled plots already in the receiving bin.

摘要: A sheet receiving and stacking apparatus is formed of a base table with a stacking section for stacking a rectangular sheet, and guide members for receiving the rectangular sheet and for guiding the rectangular sheet to the stacking section of the base table. The guide members have at least one movable member which protrudes out on the stacking section side of the base table. The movable member receives the side edge of the rectangular sheet floating downwardly, retreats to the outside of the stacking section with the weight of the rectangular sheet, and is movable to protrude again towards the stacking section side when freed from the weight of the rectangular sheet.

摘要: A device for edgewise stacking flat single objects such as letters from a belt conveyor system or the like into a container or a fixed or mobile stacking system utilizes a moving container mounted on its side in front of an output module of a sorting system and moving downwardly at a controlled rate. The container is inclined relative to the vertical and the sorted objects are guided into the container by an inclined flat bottomed chute having a single rib at its lower edge, whereby the objects are flatwise stacked into the container. When the container is then turned upwards, the objects (letters) are stacked edgewise and their orientation and face are maintained.

摘要: A novel ink-jet printer (10) is provided. The print provides both paper supply tray (12) and paper collection tray (18) in the front (14) of the printer for ease of paper handling and reduced footprint. The paper collection tray is provided with a pair of opposed output rails (22) which support a sheet of paper (16c) during printing to permit ink on a sheet of paper (16b) previously printed to dry. A paper handling mechanism is provided which eliminates a sheet pickup motor and associated elements. The paper handling mechanism is configured to pick off a sheet of paper from a stack of input paper, bring it around paper drive rollers (24) onto a platen (26), where the printing operation, employing a printhead cartridge (32), occurs. The printer further includes a service station (230) for clearing clogged nozzles in the printhead (33) and removing bubbles therefrom, for covering the nozzles with a protective cap (266), and for wiping contaminants off the nozzles. Reference pads (200) are provided for aligning and securing the printing cartridge in a carriage (35). The carriage is associated with a carriage guide (27), to which the carriage and print medium are referenced. The resulting printer is easy to manufacture, has reduced complexity by eliminating components in the paper drive mechanism and is lower in cost.

摘要: Apparatus for simultaneously accumulating two stacks of paper sheets has a first conveyor which advances a series of sheets into the range of a first transfer member so that successive sheets are respectively adjacent the front and rear surfaces of the transfer member. The transfer member is reciprocable transversely of the path of movement of oncoming sheets, and each of its forward strokes is utilized to expel a sheet into a first stack forming station. Each return stroke of the transfer member is utilized to advance a sheet into the range of a second conveyor which transports sheets forwardly beyond the first stack forming station and into the range of a second transfer member. When the first transfer member performs a forward stroke, the second transfer member expels the foremost sheet from the second conveyor into a second stack forming station. The first conveyor has a first pusher which is moved cyclically along a first endless path to alternatingly advance successive sheets along the first path adjacent the front and rear surfaces of the first transfer member. A second pusher which is rigid with the first pusher, serves to advance successive sheets in the second path in front of the second transfer member.

摘要: An apparatus for stacking glued textile fabrics has photocells 43, 44 for controlling the withdrawal movement of a stacking table 25 in dependence on the length of the fabrics. The stacking table moves in the same direction as a fabric piece until the trailing edge of the fabric no longer interrupts a light beam, whereupon the table returns to its original position to receive further pieces of fabric. The apparatus also includes clamping means 37, 38 to firmly hold the already stacked fabrics.
