    摘要: A heat exchanger for an engine is disclosed. The heat exchanger includes a vortex tube and a gas return path. Expansion media tubes, which have a working fluid therein, are located between the vortex tube and the gas return path. Hot gases in the vortex tube, along with warm gases in the return path, heat the working fluid. In one embodiment, the working fluid is delivered to a cylinder in which it expands, so as to move a piston. In one embodiment, the working fluid is fuel. In one embodiment, after the working fluid expands in the cylinder, it is recovered and burned in a combustion chamber, which is in fluid communication with the vortex tube. In one embodiment, the working fluid is water.

A warm air opening is provided in the intermediate wall, through which the air heated over the cylinder can be introduced into the carburettor chamber and wherein an adjusting element is provided which can be brought into a summer position in which the engine compartment opening is open and the warm air opening is closed and which can be brought into a winter position in which the engine compartment opening is closed and the warm air opening is open.

    摘要: A valve assembly is provided for use in conjunction with a fuel tank having a fill neck and a vent conduit. The fill neck defines a passageway having one end open to the fuel tank and the second end adapted to receive fuel. Similarly, the vent conduit also has one end open to the fuel tank while the other end forms a second vent opening for allowing vapors to escape from the fuel tank during a filling operation. A fuel valve is fluidly positioned in series with the fill neck passageway and, similarly, a vent valve is fluidly positioned in series with the vent conduit. Both the fuel valve and vent valve are movable in unison between an open and a closed position so that, in the open position, fuel flow can occur through the fill neck and, simultaneously, fuel fumes are exhausted through the vent conduit. The vent valve includes an actuator which is coupled to a vent valve member by a spring to compensate for manufacturing tolerances of the valve assembly components in order to ensure complete closure of both the fill neck passageway and vent conduit when the fuel valve and vent valves are in their respective closed positions.

    摘要: An arrangement for controlling the temperature of the intake air of internal-combustion engines has an intake air filter in which a swivellable control valve is provided that interacts with a pneumatic actuator. The actuator causes an adjustment of the control valve by a bimetallic control device, as a function of the air temperature fed to the internal-combustion engine. A thermostat is provided which, by way of a movable stop, determines the swivel range of the control valve in the direction that closes off the warm-air duct. The thermostat is arranged in a receiving device. This receiving device is fastened in a cold-air duct by a welded connection.
