    摘要: The invention provides a non-stage transmission which shifts gear in response to a load without requiring any independent actuator for changing a change gear ratio, and can achieve a large change gear ratio on the basis of a small-sized and low-cost structure.The non-stage transmission is structured such that a rocker arm 4 is reciprocated via a connection rod 18, a means for changing a stroke of the reciprocating motion is provided, and an output shaft 2 is driven in one direction whichever of forward and backward directions of the reciprocating motion of the rocker arm 4. An input side turning body 13 is structured such as to drive an output side turning body 14 via an energizing spring 12. The stroke of the reciprocating motion is changed by rotating a crank shaft lever by a cam groove 13d in a clockwise direction in correspondence to an increase of a load so as to shorten a distance between points Q, S. A torque and a rotational number of the output shaft are changed on the basis of a change of the stroke.

    摘要: In order to be able to adjust the axial play of a shaft in a shaft holder using a universal buffer component (1) for each unit in a production series, despite a wide tolerance range within the series, a buffer component is mounted so as to be rotatable in the shaft holder (3) at right angles to the axis of the shaft (2). The buffer component (1) is further provided with a circumferential buffer surface which is eccentric with respect to its axis of rotation (4.1). This buffer surface preferably follows an Archimedean spiral and is advantageously made up of individual buffer surfaces (F1-F14). The surfaces (F1-F14) extend tangentially to the Archimedean spiral and each have a buffer region disposed at right angles to the shaft (2). The buffer region is radially set back relative to the trailing edge of the buffer surface in the direction of rotation. The length of this set back corresponds to the desired, nominal axial play ("a") to be set for the shaft (2).

    摘要: A variable ratio rocker arm is provided for use in combination with the valve stem and push rod of an internal combustion engine. The rocker arm has an elongated slot defined between a rod seat and a toothed rack. A fulcrum rod is provided with a toothed sector and a curved sector, with the toothed sector being engaged with the toothed rack portion of the rocker arm. A roller bearing assembly is movably disposed between the rod curved sector and the rod seat, with the roller bearing assembly being rollable along the rod seat. An actuator arm is coupled to the fulcrum rod for simultaneously rotating and translating the fulcrum rod through the rocker arm slot. The operating arm causes the fulcrum rod to rotate and translate along the mating toothing from one point of pivotal engagement, corresponding to a first engine operating condition, to another point of pivotal engagement, corresponding to a second engine operating condition.

    摘要: The present invention provides for improvements made to the infinitely variable rotary drive transmission U.S. Pat. No. 4,557,161 dated Dec. 10, 1985, having an input member and an output member rotatably mounted to a housing. Two articulated shafts are rotatably mounted on two slides such that the degree of articulation can be varied in infinite increments by operating a lever mounted on the housing. The two articulated shafts are connected rotatably and synchronously. The input member through a substantial speed reduction drives the articulated shafts. The articulated shafts are connected by rods to a pair of cooperating overrunning clutch assemblies mounted on an intermediate shaft which in turn is rotatably mounted on the housing. Another clutch assembly is mounted on the intermediate shaft to restrict its movement to one direction only. The intermediate shaft through a substantial speed increase drives the output member.

    摘要: A gear system includes a housing and an intermediate ring gear movably carried on a support hub coupled to an output shaft. The ring gear is driven by an input pinion gear through a running tooth system and drives the support hub through a coupling tooth system. Misalignment of the gearings due to housing, shaft or support deflections under load are compensated by providing an arcuate axial tooth profile and radial clearance in the coupling tooth system. The coupling tooth system includes lubricant confined between a pair of sealing discs. In an alternate embodiment, the ring gear is carried on spherically configured rings of the support and the ring gear includes mating spherically configured rings with suitable clearance between the spherical surfaces. Engagement between the mating spherical surfaces generates the radial force required for adjustment of the ring gear while maintaining radial tooth clearance within the coupling tooth system. As a result, the coupling tooth system transmits torque forces exclusively.

    摘要: A gear assembly for high-speed transmission between either two parallel shafts or two intersecting shafts comprising two meshing gears, one mounted to a drive shaft and the other mounted to a driven shaft, each of the gears having coaxially disposed first and second toothed portions which differ from each other in that the teeth of the first toothed portion are cut at a first inclination angle and the teeth of the second toothed portion are cut at a second inclination angle different from the first inclination angle. One of the meshing gears is fixed to its shaft so as to be non-displaceable axially, while the other is mounted so as to be axially displaceable with respect to the fixed gear. Preloading means engaging the movable gear are provided for applying an axially directed load to the movable floating gear thereby urging the floating gear against the fixed gear so as to eliminate the free angular displacement of the gears with respect to each other within backlash and to preclude tooth disengagement under axial forces which are imposed on the floating gear by external peripheral loads.
