摘要: A method, a programmed computer system, for example, a network-based hardware device, and a machine readable medium containing a software program for modifying a high definition video data stream in real time, with no visible delays, to add content on a frame by frame basis, thus simultaneously compositing multiple different customized linear views, for purposes such as creating and broadcasting targeted advertising in real time. The method employs conventional video processing technology in novel and inventive ways to achieve the desired objective by passing data selected by the program back and forth between a GPU and a CPU of a computer. The method is also usable with data streams having lower than high definition where real time processing is desired and yields better results than conventional methods. In such applications, all processing may be done by the CPU of a sufficiently powerful general-purpose computer.

The color transform parameters represent at least three successively applied color transforms comprising a first color transform followed by a second color transform followed by a third color transform. Related apparatus for each method are described.

摘要: A high definition surveillance video storage optimization system executes purging directives according to policy and retention meta data. Segments of video are purged from storage when thresholds of retention metrics are applied and when policy permits. Retention metrics are determined from acoustic sound energy, radiation energy, access control events, and movement. Policies reflect calendars and elapsed time, percentage of available storage, statutory and judicial mandates, and utility of the stored segments. Extrinsic sensor data and operations are recorded into non-transitory retention meta data stores. Metrics are transformed into retention flags at either time of recordation or time of purgation. Security file storage includes metadata about the environment acquired by sensors include doors, audio noise, object identification and tracking and inputs which influence retention or purging. A circuit filters for motion and stores metadata per segment. Meta data enables content based purging of least consequential files.

摘要: Provided is a display method of displaying, on a display device, video of video data where luminance of video is defined by a first EOTF corresponding to HDR. The method includes: acquiring the video data; performing first conversion where the luminance of the video is converted to a luminance corresponding to a dynamic range of a third EOTF, where, with regard to a second EOTF that is part of the first EOTF and is the part of a luminance range where the peak luminance indicated by the peak luminance information included in the acquired video data is maximum luminance, the dynamic range of luminance of the second EOTF is reduced with maximum luminance of the second EOTF matching displayable luminance of the display device, while maintaining the relative relationship of luminance of the second EOTF; and displaying the video on the display device using the result of the first conversion.

摘要: Color correction in high dynamic range video (HDR) using 2D look-up table (LUT) may be provided. The color correction may be applied in a decoder after decoding the HDR video signal. For example, the color correction may be applied before, during, or after chroma upsampling of the HDR video signal. The 2D LUT may include a representation of the color space of the HDR video signal. The color correction may include applying triangle interpolation to the sample values of the color component of the color space. The 2D LUT may be estimated by an encoder and signaled to the decoder. The encoder may decide to reuse a prior-signaled 2D LUT or use a new 2D LUT.

摘要: In a reproduction method, a video stream has a first dynamic range where a maximum value of a luminance dynamic range is more than a predetermined luminance value, and a display apparatus displays video in a second dynamic range narrower than the first dynamic range. The reproduction method displays video based on a first reproduction signal or a second reproduction signal. The first reproduction signal is obtained by: reproducing a first video stream quantized based on a hybrid OETF without performing luminance conversion; or reproducing the first video stream subjected to the luminance conversion. The second reproduction signal is obtained by performing the luminance conversion on a second video stream not quantized based on the hybrid OETF, and reproducing the second video stream subjected to the luminance conversion.
