摘要: A display device includes: a closed-bottomed first lens tube including a first display part on the closed bottom for displaying a first image; a closed-bottomed second lens tube including a second display part on the closed bottom for displaying a second image; an adjustment mechanism including an operable part that is provided between and adjusts a distance between the first and second lens tubes; and an eye cup provided for each of the first and second lens tubes that is tubular and detachably attached to the open end of the first or second lens tube. The eye cup includes: an insertion part that is tubular and inserted inside the first or second lens tube; and a cup part having a curved sheet shape that extends outside of the first or second lens tube.

摘要: A display system includes a conversion apparatus converting video luminance including a luminance value in a first luminance range and a display apparatus connected thereto and displaying the video. The conversion apparatus includes a first acquisition unit, a first luminance converter, a second luminance converter, a quantization converter, and an output unit outputting a third luminance signal to the display apparatus. The display apparatus includes: a second acquisition unit acquiring the third luminance signal and setting information indicating display settings recommended to the display apparatus in display of the video; a display setting unit setting the display apparatus, using the setting information; a third luminance converter converting a third code value indicated by the third luminance signal into a second luminance value compatible with a second luminance range, using the setting information; and a display controller displaying the video on the display apparatus based on the second luminance value.

摘要: A video display system includes: a tone mapping processor; a display; and a metadata processor that generates first dynamic metadata that indicates a maximum luminance that is constant over a plurality of time intervals by using static metadata. The video display system switches between: a first operation of (i) generating the first dynamic metadata by using the static metadata, performed by the metadata processor and (ii) performing the tone mapping process by using the first dynamic metadata, performed by the tone mapping processor; and a second operation of performing the tone mapping process by using second dynamic metadata in which the maximum luminance varies over the plurality of time intervals, performed by the tone mapping processor.

摘要: A video display system includes: a tone mapping processor that performs a tone mapping process of converting a luminance of a video by using conversion characteristics according to a maximum luminance of the video; and a display that displays the video that has undergone the tone mapping process. The tone mapping processor switches between a first tone mapping process of dynamically changing the conversion characteristics according to a time-depend change in the maximum luminance of the video and a second tone mapping process that is performed using constant conversion characteristics irrespective of the time-depend change in the maximum luminance of the video. When the tone mapping process used is switched from the second tone mapping process to the first tone mapping process, the conversion characteristics used is changed gradually or stepwise from the constant conversion characteristics to dynamically changing conversion characteristics over a plurality of frames.
