    Abstract: The present invention relates to methods and apparatus for managing uplink resource grants in wireless networks. An exemplary method embodiment includes the steps of: operating a first wireless base station in a first mode of operation, the first mode of operation including managing uplink resource grant schedules for a plurality of wireless devices connected to the wireless base station; receiving, by the first wireless base station operating in the first mode of operation, a transmission power down command from a resource management system; and determining in response to receiving the transmission power down command, by the first wireless base station, whether to switch from operating in the first mode of operation to operating in a second mode of operation, said operating in the second mode of operation including ceasing managing uplink resource grant schedules for said plurality of wireless devices connected to the wireless base station.

    Abstract: A wireless base station, via a first wireless beam in a beamforming codebook, transmits communications to multiple communication devices. In one implementation, the wireless base station receives respective channel matrix information from each of the multiple communication devices. The channel matrix information indicates weight coefficients applied to respective receiver antenna hardware to receive the communications. Alternatively, when reciprocity holds, the wireless base station can be configured to generate the channel matrix information based on observation of receiving communications from the one or more communication devices. Via the channel matrix information, a communication management resource associated with the wireless base station adjusts beamforming settings of the first wireless beam to best support communications with the communication devices over the first wireless beam. The communication management resource dynamically updates the beamforming codebook such that a corresponding wireless beam is angularly adjusted towards a centroid of the communication devices.

    Abstract: A network control device, e.g., a gNB, receives a message from a communications device, e.g. a UE, indicating that the communications device is experiencing an in-device coexistence (IDC) problem, e.g. in the 52.6 GHz-71 GHz frequency range with respect to NR-U and WiGig. The message is one of: i) an IDC assistance message indicating that the victim system is Wi-Gig or ii) an antenna panel switch message requesting that the network control device instruct the communications device to change the antenna panel that it uses for uplink NR signaling. The network control device generates and sends a response message to the communications device including: a selected new frequency to be used by the communications device for uplink NR signaling or a selected different antenna panel to be used by the communications device for uplink NR signaling. The communications device implements the change reducing or avoiding the IDC problem.

    Abstract: Methods and apparatus for supporting switching of data paths corresponding to a communications session between different non-3GPP access networks, e.g., networks including WiFi access points, using network core functionality are described.     Abstract: Various embodiments disclosed herein provide for a caller identification (ID) method and system that can provide caller ID information to display on devices other than the wireless equipment device that is receiving the phone call. This can include televisions and other streaming devices associated with the user receiving the phone call. The mobile wireless network associated with the user's wireless user equipment can determine whether the user has an additional device on which caller ID is to be displayed, and then identify a media server associated with the additional device.     Abstract: A configuration management resource receives wireless coverage information indicating a desired wireless coverage to be provided by a new wireless network in a selected geographical region. The configuration management resource retrieves network infrastructure map information and corresponding at least one image to produce the proposed wireless network installation plan. The network infrastructure map information indicates locations of available physical infrastructure to support installation of wireless access points. In addition to analyzing the network infrastructure map information, the configuration management resource also analyzes supplemental image information (such as including one or more images) of the available physical infrastructure to determine corresponding supplemental attributes of the available physical infrastructure. The configuration management resource produces a proposed wireless network installation plan for a new wireless network based on the locations and the corresponding attributes determine from analyzing the image information.
