Abstract: At least one embodiment relates to a quick-coupling mechanism including a clamp spring configured to receive a valve body. The clamp spring is coupled to a release button configured to manipulate one or more arms of the clamp spring. The quick-coupling mechanism includes a base structure coupled to the toilet pedestal/bowl. The base structure is configured to hold the clamp spring in place. In a locking-state, the clamp spring seats in a groove in the valve body thus securing the valve body in place and preventing an axial movement of the valve body relative to the clamp spring. In a non-locking state, the release button bends the arms of the clamp spring outwardly to increase the diameter of the clamping portion, thus releasing valve body such that the valve body can move axially relative to the clamp spring.

Abstract: A system for supplementing a fixed fuel source for an engine includes a motor-generator set connected to a mechanical load device and a controller. The motor-generator set includes a motor and a generator. The engine is configured to provide a first torque from a fixed fuel source from an independent variable flow input. The fixed fuel source is independent of the engine and set external to the engine. The mechanical load device is driven by the engine and configured to require a second torque defined by an independent flow device. The controller is configured to compare the first torque and the second torque, provide a first control signal to the motor to provide power to the engine when the second torque exceeds the first torque and provide a second control signal to the generator to draw power from the engine when the first torque exceeds the second torque.

Abstract: A light fixture includes a light receiver, an electrically-powered light source coupled to the light receiver, and a vessel containing a liquid. The vessel is translucent such that the light from the light source radiates through the vessel. The vessel includes an outer wall and an inner wall that define an enclosed area that receives and contains the liquid. The inner wall defines an open area positioned radially inward from the enclosed area and the inner wall includes a top opening and a bottom opening such that the open area is a through-hole extending through the enclosed area. The vessel is configured such that light emitted from the light source passes through the liquid contained within the vessel.

The detection region is external to the closed reservoir. The processing circuit is configured to facilitate flushing of the toilet through interaction with the motor assembly when the object is detected.

Abstract: Engine systems which are safer and have reduced risk of fire are desirable in a wide range of equipment markets. The present engine systems utilize sensors and control systems which reduce the probability of fire or spark exiting the exhaust system. The sensors may monitor a wide range of conditions within the exhaust system to alter the operating parameters of the engine to prevent ignition of objects adjacent the engine system during use. By altering operation of the engine, conditions such as exhaust temperature or unburned fuel can be controlled to minimize risk of undesired ignition.

Abstract: A heat management system for air-cooled engines suitable to power yard care equipment or vehicles. The system may generally comprise an engine, a blower configured to blow ambient cooling air across the engine, and an exhaust system comprising an exhaust header and a muffler. The exhaust header has an inlet end which receives heated exhaust gas from the engine and an outlet end fluidly coupled to the muffler. An air control baffle is configured to redirect a portion of the cooling air from the blower towards the exhaust header and the muffler to enhance cooling the exhaust system. The system may further include an outermost protective shield exposed to equipment operators and an inner heat barrier or shield located between the muffler and protective shield. The system is designed to ameliorate both radiative and convective sources of heat transfer to maintain the protective shield at temperatures below established industry standards.
