Abstract: A coil apparatus for use in a transcranial magnetic stimulation apparatus is provided to further increase an electric field intensity on a head surface. The coil apparatus includes a wound-wire coil disposed on or near a head surface so as to generate a current by an induced electric field through electromagnetic induction in a magnetic stimulation-target region of a brain for stimulating neurons. The wound-wire coil includes a near-head-surface conductive wire portion disposed on or near the head surface, and a far-head-surface conductive wire portion disposed farther from the head surface than the near-head-surface conductive wire portion. A distance between the near-head-surface conductive wire portion and the far-head-surface conductive wire portion is set to be changed so that an intensity of the induced electric field becomes larger than that of a surrounding region of the magnetic stimulation-target region.

Abstract: The present invention provides a sugar-restricted, high-fat diet for improving chronic kidney disease. In the sugar-restricted, high-fat diet, daily fat intake may be set at 120 g or more based on a real body weight of 50 kg or set at an amount corresponding to 70% or more of the total daily energy intake. The sugar-restricted, high-fat diet can increase glomerular filtration rate and reduce blood creatinine level in chronic kidney disease patients.

Abstract: An aortic aneurysm has few noticeable symptoms and is at high risk for rupture without a sign of abnormality. Further, if it ruptures, it causes a shock state due to massive blood loss and results in a very low survival rate. Thus, when the aortic aneurysm is found by physical examination or the like, a surgery with a stent graft or the like needs to be performed according to the state of its progression.
A pharmaceutical composition for preventing an aortic aneurysm including a medium chain fatty acid as a main component has an effect of inhibiting the occurrence and progression of the aortic aneurysm. Thus, when the aortic aneurysm is found, the composition through continuous intake can exhibit effects including inhibition of the progression of the aortic aneurysm and improvement in the vital prognosis.

Abstract: A method comprising (A) fragmenting genomic DNA in a state where the interaction of the genomic DNA and molecules interacting therewith is maintained, and (B) bringing genomic DNA into contact with an exogenous molecule capable of binding to a specific endogenous DNA sequence in the genomic DNA. According to the method, with the use of an endogenous DNA sequence present inside or in the vicinity of a target genomic region in cells to be analyzed, any genomic region can be specifically isolated in a state where the interaction of the genomic region and molecules interacting therewith is maintained, without the need of inserting a recognition sequence of an exogenous DNA-binding molecule into the vicinity of the target genomic region in the cells to be analyzed.

Abstract: A laser apparatus includes six first laser devices that output respective blue laser beams for preliminary heating of an object, and a second laser device that outputs an infrared laser beam for main heating of the object. At least one of a relative positional relationship and each of respective first irradiation positions of the blue laser beams is changeable, the relative positional relationship being a relative positional relationship between the respective first irradiation positions of the six first laser beams in the object and a second irradiation position of the infrared laser beam in the object.
