Abstract: An airborne delivery system employs unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) released from an airborne platform, such as a Joint Precision Airdrop System (JPAD), to more accurately deliver supplies. The airborne delivery system is configured to be mounted on a JPAD, or similar airborne platform. As with a conventional JPAD, the JPAD is then released from an airborne vehicle. After a certain amount of flight time, one or more UAVs are released mid-flight from the airborne delivery system.

Abstract: The present invention is directed to a process for preparing light curable energetic polymeric binders. The process for preparing such binder comprises the steps of mixing a pre-polymer such as PGN or GAP having a terminal hydroxyl group with a solvent and adding reactants wherein the reactant has a light curable moiety and a pre-polymer reactive moiety. Catalysts such as carbodiimide and DMAP may be further added to the mixture.

Abstract: Methods, systems and devices for diffractive waveplate lens and mirror systems allowing electronically pointing and focusing light at different focal planes. The system can be incorporated into a variety of optical schemes for providing electrical control of transmission. In another embodiment, the system comprises diffractive waveplates of different functionality to provide a system for controlling not only focusing but other propagation properties of light including direction, phase profile, and intensity distribution. The diffractive waveplate lens and mirror systems are applicable to optical communication systems.

Abstract: The present invention is directed to a process for continuous production of copper (I) nitrotetrazolate (DBX-1) by reacting aqueous copper salt with aqueous 5-nitrotetrazolate salt in the presence of a reducing agent. All the reactants are introduced into a continuous flow reactor system, which is composed of a temperature controlled tubular reactor and a mixer that allows for radial mixing. An optional stirred tank reactor may also be incorporated into the process to complete the reaction and allow for crystal growth.
