    摘要: An apparatus is provided for controlling the operational characteristics of a supercharger in an internal combustion engine with the supercharger, including a compressor. The apparatus comprises a pressure sensor positioned in an intake passage downstream of the compressor for detecting the pressure of the compressor at a revolution sensor operatively coupled to the engine for detecting the revolution speed of the engine. An arithmetic means has its inputs coupled to the pressure sensor and revolution sensor and arithmetically operates on the output signals of the pressure sensor and revolution sensor in accordance with predetermined control characteristics for providing an output signal in accordance therewith. A control means is coupled to the output of the arithmetic means for controlling the pressure of the compressor in accordance with the output signal of the arithmetic means, and changing means are provided for manually changing the predetermined control characteristics of the arithmetic means.

    摘要: Disclosed is a turbine comprising a turbine wheel, a turbine scroll passage defined in a turbine casing around the turbine wheel for introduction of gas to the turbine wheel, and an axial central passage defined in the turbine casing for ejection of gas from the turbine wheel, wherein: a plurality of variable nozzles are arranged outside of a throat section having a locally minimum cross section which is defined in the turbine casing around the turbine wheel. The variable nozzles may be defined by fixed vanes and moveable vanes which cooperate with each other in such a manner that each of the moveable vanes and the corresponding fixed vane define a substantially smooth and continuous airfoil. The moveable vanes may be pivotally supported by a back plate of the casing while the fixed vanes may be integrally provided with a fixed vane member having a disk portion which defines a surface opposing the inner surface of the back plate. The moveable vanes may rotate along and between these mutually opposing surfaces for varying the cross section of the nozzles defined between the fixed vanes and the moveable vanes.

    摘要: A valve operating mechanism for operating a plurality of valves of a particular cylinder of an internal combustion engine includes a camshaft rotatable in synchronism with rotation of the internal combustion engine and having at least one cam. At least one of a plurality of cam followers slidably engages the cam for selectively operating the valves according to a cam profile of the cam. The cam followers are selectively interconnected and disconnected to operate the valves in different speed ranges of the internal combustion engine, the speed ranges including a range in which all of the valves remain inoperative. The camshaft has one or two annular raised portions in addition to the cam, and the cam followers include one or two cam followers which slidably engage the raised portion or portions. The valves remain inoperative by the annular portion or portions and are operated in a high-speed range by the cam, or selectively in low- and high-speed ranges by low- and high-speed ranges.

    摘要: An internal combustion engine fuel injection control apparatus is disclosed in which a basic fuel injection signal for light load is calculated as a function of the manifold pressure when the engine is operating with a light load, and a basic fuel injection signal for heavy load is obtained with the revolution number and the throttle valve position as the parameters when the engine is operating with a heavy load. The engine load condition (light or heavy) is decided in dependence upon the throttle valve position or the manifold pressure. The circuit employed for switch-over from a heavy load to a light load or vice versa preferably has a hysteresis characteristic.

    摘要: A turbosupercharger includes an exhaust turbine and a compressure, each connected together by an intermediate shift. The exhaust turbine is disposed in an exhaust passage positioned at downstream side of an exhaust manifold positioned in front of an engine and connected to an exhaust port of the engine. The compressor is disposed in an intake passage connected to an intake port of the engine. The exhaust port and intake port are positioned at front and rear sides of the engine, respectively. The exhaust turbine and the compressor are disposed sidy by side and transversely provided with respect to a frame of motorcycle and in front of said engine. The rotational axis of the turbosupercharger is rotated downwardly at the side near the engine, and the compressor is provided with a scroll opening oriented upwardly. Further, the exhaust manifold is covered with a cover member spacedly positioned in front of the manifold.
