摘要: A sintered titanium alloy is composed of a titanium matrix or titanium alloy matrix and hard particles dispersed in the matrix, the sintered titanium alloy comprises: 4-8 mass % of aluminum (Al); 2-6 mass % of vanadium (V); 0.15-0.8 mass % of oxygen (O); at least one element selected from the group consisting of 0.2-9 mass % of boron (B), 0.5-3 mass % of at least one of molybdenum (Mo), tungsten (W), tantalum (Ta), zirconium (Zr), niobium (Nb), and hafnium (Hf), 0.05-2 mass % of at least one of Ia Group elements, IIa Group elements, and IIIa Group elements, 0.05-0.5 mass % of at least one of halogens; with the balance being titanium (Ti) and inevitable impurities. A method for economically producing a high-density sintered titanium alloy comprises mixing a raw material powder composed of a titanium powder and a powder for solid-solution hardening, rubbing and pressing the titanium powder before, during or after the mixing, so as to cause the raw material powder to have a desired tap density, compacting the mixed powder, and sintering the green compact under no pressure.

摘要: A tying wire is puled out from a continuous stock. It is then bent to form a U-shaped fold of an appropriate length. The U-shaped loop of the tying wire is wound around an overlapped portion to be tied of an article or articles. A front end of the U-shaped fold is wound around the other end by a rotatable hook, thus finally twisting both ends. The tying wire is cut at a rear end an appropriate timing. The apparatus for tying is made up of a mechanism for forming a U-shaped loop of the tying wire, a mechanism for guiding the U-shaped loop to wind it around an external surface of a portion to be tied of the article or articles, a mechanism for twisting the closed end and the other end of the U-shaped loop, and a mechanism for cutting the tying wire at an appropriate timing to an appropriate length.

摘要: A leaf spring switch device is composed of an L-shaped base member having a long portion and a short portion. A pair of leaf spring contactors extend through the short portion of the base member and have contacts at one end and terminals at opposite ends. An actuator is mounted on one contactor to move it with respect to the other. The contactors extend along the long portion. The lengths of the long and short portions of the base member are selected to be the same as long and short dimensions of a conventional microswitch with the width of the long portion being one half the length of the short portion. In this way, the leaf spring switch device of the present invention is interchangeable with a conventional microswitch.

摘要: An apparatus, a process and a processing sheet for improving qualities of an image in sharpness, density and/or glossiness. A copy or printed sheet having an image is coated with a thin sheet at the image bearing side of the copy. The copy is then pressed together with the thin sheet, and simultaneously heated so as to soften or fuse at least the surface of the image on the copy. Then, the sheet is peeled off the image after the image is cooled sufficiently. Surprisingly, the qualities of the image are improved as compared with the image before processing.

摘要: This invention relates to a thermal head suitable for constituting a multithermal head used in a color printer, a method of manufacturing the same, and a multithermal head constituted by the thermal heads. The thermal head comprises a flexible insulating film having heating elements arranged in a predetermined pattern and lead wires which have one ends electrically connected to the elements, the film being fixed on a substrate, and heating element driver ICs mounted on the substrate and electrically connected to the wires on the film. The method comprises the steps of, coating the film on the plate, forming the elements in a predetermined pattern and the wires on the film, dividing the plate into portions in accordance with a change in level of a surface of the substrate to which the film is to be fixed, fixing the divided portions of the plate on the substrate, and locating the ICs at a position lower than that of the elements on the substrate and connecting the other ends of the wires to the ICs. In the multithermal head, the thermal heads are fixed on a base so as to make lines of the elements of one thermal head parallel to the lines of that of the other thermal heads.
