Abstract:
A communication technique of fusing a fifth generation (5G) communication for supporting higher data transmission rate beyond a fourth generation (4G) system with an Internet of things (IoT) technology and a system thereof is provided. The technique may be applied to an intelligent service (smart home, smart building, smart city, smart car or connected car, health care, digital education, retail business, security and safety related service, or the like) based on the 5G communication technology and the IoT related technology. A method is provided for effectively managing a registration state for a terminal in a 5G core network such as an access and mobility management function (AMF) in a situation of accessing a 5G network via a non-3rd generation partnership project (3GPP) access.
Abstract:
A method, performed by a network entity, of performing time sensitive communication (TSC) includes: establishing a first protocol data unit (PDU) session with a first user equipment (UE) and a second PDU session for a second UE; receiving, from the first UE, an announce message obtained from a first time sensitive network (TSN) node; configuring, based on the announce message, a port state of the network entity; and transmitting, to the second UE or a second TSN node, the announce message.
Abstract:
A communication technology for converging a 5th-generation (5G) communication system for supporting a higher data rate after a 4th-generation (4G) system to an Internet of things (IoT) technology and a system thereof are provided. A method for connecting to a network by a terminal in a mobile communication system wherein a first communication network and a second communication network are operable, and an apparatus thereof are provided. The method includes transmitting, to a mobility management function, information on supportable communication network for the terminal and an attach request message including a packet data unit (PDU) session request, receiving an internet protocol (IP) address allocated based on the information on supportable communication network and an attach accept message including a PDU session response, and connecting to a network based on the IP address.
Abstract:
The present disclosure relates to a communication method and system for converging a 5th-Generation (5G) communication system for supporting higher data rates beyond a 4th-Generation (4G) system with a technology for Internet of Things (IoT). The present disclosure may be applied to intelligent services based on the 5G communication technology and the IoT-related technology, such as smart home, smart building, smart city, smart car, connected car, health care, digital education, smart retail, security and safety services. The method includes transmitting a service authorization request message to a first network device, the first network drive including a proximity-based service (ProSe) function, and receiving a service authorization response message from the first network device. The first terminal is a relay terminal capable of performing a UE-to-network relay function.
Abstract:
A method and a device for maintaining an emergency call service through a packet network in a mobile communication network are provided. UE using VoLTE receives identification information indicating whether an IMS Voice over PS (VoPS) is supported from a network to determine whether the IMS VoPS of the network is supported, and processes paging for a CS voice call according to the determination result if the emergency call service continues through the packet network.
Abstract:
Provided are a communication method and system that combine the 5G communication system and the IoT technology to support a higher data rate after the 4G system. Based on the 5G communication technology and IoT technology, the disclosure can be applied to various intelligent services (e.g., smart home, smart building, smart city, smart or connected car, healthcare, digital education, retail business, and security and safety service). The disclosure relates to a method and apparatus for terminating a cellular network connection to a terminal without authentication. The disclosure relates to a method and system for providing a vehicle communication service in the 3GPP system.

Abstract:
A method and apparatus for connecting a V2X-enabled terminal to a local vehicle-to-everything (V2X) server is provided. A communication method of a terminal of the present disclosure includes transmitting mobility information of the terminal to a macro vehicle-to-everything (V2X) server performing V2X communication with the terminal, receiving provision information for connection to a local V2X server taking charge of an area predicted as a next-hop area to which the terminal moves from the macro V2X server, and establishing, when the terminal enters the next-hop area, a connection to the local V2X server for V2X communication based on the provision information.
Abstract:
A terminal and a method for the terminal to attach to a network in a wireless communication system are provided. The method includes selecting a service provider based on service provider information received from a base station; identifying if the selected service provider operates an isolated evolved universal mobile telecommunications system (UMTS) terrestrial radio access network (E-UTRAN) operation for public safety (IOPS) network; if the selected service provider operates the IOPS network, selecting authentication information to attach to the IOPS network from a subscriber identification storage unit; and accessing the IOPS network using the selected authentication information.
