摘要: An EMI filter capacitor assembly and implantable passive electronic network components utilize biocompatible and non-migratable materials to adapt the electronic components for direct body fluid exposure. The assembly includes a capacitor having first and second sets of electrode plates which are constructed of non-migratable biocompatible material. A conductive hermetic terminal of non-migratable and biocompatible material adjacent to the capacitor is conductively coupled to the second set of electrode plates. One or more conductive terminal pins having at least an outer surface of non-migratable and biocompatible material are conductively coupled to the first set of electrode plates, while extending through the hermetic terminal in non-conductive relation. The terminal pins may be in direct contact with the first set of electrode plates, or in contact with a termination surface of conductive connection material. The termination surface is also constructed of non-migratable and biocompatible materials.

摘要: Methods and apparatus for providing consumer-installed decorations (10) for home or office furnishings (F). One embodiment of the invention may be sold at a retail store. The consumer may purchase a set of one or more decorations or enhancing components (10), which comprise an ornamental component (12) and a mounting component (14). The consumer then installs the decorations (10) at home or in the office, without special tools and without requiring the services of a contractor. The decorations (10) may be installed on any generally planar structure or furnishing (F). Examples of these furnishings (F) include, but are not limited to, a mirror (M), a door (D), a picture frame (PF), a kitchen cabinet door (KC), a cubicle wall or divider (CW), a computer monitor, a table top or any other piece of furniture, fixture, appliance, hardware or item that may be found in a home or office.

摘要: A method of calibrating a lighting panel including a plurality of segments, a respective segment configured to emit a first color light and a second color light in response to pulse width modulation control signals having respective duty cycles, includes activating the plurality of segments to simultaneously emit the first and second colors of light. A combined light output for the plurality of segments is measured at a measurement location to obtain aggregate emission data. Separate emission data for the first and second colors of light is determined based on the aggregate emission data. For example, the separate emission data for the first and second colors of light may be derived based on extrapolation of the aggregate emission data and expected emission data for the first and second colors of light. Related calibration systems are also discussed.

摘要: A self-cleaning centrifugal dryer system and method for removing surface moisture allow complete removal of plastic pellets, flakes and particles from the dryer and water-conveying or water processing system during or after each drying cycle. By eliminating plastic particulate retention in the dryer and throughout the water conveyance and processing systems whereby contamination of different type materials dried during a subsequent drying cycle is avoided. Air and water alone or in combination under pressure are discharged toward various accumulation or occlusion (“hang-up”) points in the dryer and throughout the water-conveying or processing system to remove retained plastic pellets, flakes and particles.
