摘要： A flap drive for a flap includes two identical lever joint arrangements which are arranged in pairs at a distance from one another. The flap can be moved out of its closing position into its opening position and back by the flap drive. In this case, the lever joint arrangements are articulated pivotably with one of their ends in each case on a side region of the flap and with their other ends at a fixed location on the motor vehicle. The mutually corresponding pivot axes of the articulation points extend coaxially to one another. Movement transmission devices for the pivotable drive of a driven lever of each lever joint arrangement are guided by a common motive drive unit, the driven levers being articulated at a fixed location on the motor vehicle.

In the stored position the ramp is positioned within the first storage compartment. In the extended position the ramp extends outwardly from the first storage compartment through an opening. The tailgate blocks the first compartment opening in the upright position, and does not block the first compartment opening in the retracted position.

摘要： A tail extension (1) adapted to be pivotally attached (2) to a load carrying container (3). Tail (1) pivots between a first position substantially outwards from a floor of the container, and a second position upwardly inclined relative to said floor. Tail (1) may be formed as one or a plurality of sections which move individually or cooperatively. Tail (1) may be pivotally connected (2) adjacent the floor of container (3) by a hinge allowing free movement and/or may be displaced by a drive means (e.g. hydraulic, mechanical, pneumatic). By tail (1) being able to pivot when contracting the ground, tail (1) and container (3) are not going to be subjected to undue forces which may damage tail (1) or container (3). When being transported, tail (1) acts as an extension to improve the load carrying capacity of the container by extending outwardly, or, can be displaced upwardly by a drive means to form a rear wall on the container.

A tailgate is positioned along a rear edge of the bed floor and extends between the first and second sidewalls. A dual axis hinge pivotally connects the tailgate to the first side wall for movement about a first axis generally parallel with the rear edge of the bed floor and alternative movement about a second axis generally parallel with a vertical bed edge of the first side wall. The hinge includes a checker for urging the tailgate into preselected positions when the tailgate is moved about the second axis.

摘要： An electro-mechanical actuator for the release of a tailgate latch mechanism to open the tailgate by remote control in combination with a module that slows or stops the descent of the tailgate to prevent it from crashing down. In one embodiment the module is a pre-tensioned spring linkage with some degree of lost motion which arrests the tailgate in a partially open position. In another embodiment the module is a viscous fluid damper or a gas spring which limits the speed of travel of the tailgate. The actuator permits both manual and remote controlled opening of the tailgate is and suitable for after-market installation. Unintentional opening of the tailgate sends a warning to the operator.

摘要： A dump body for a dump truck or trailer has a half-pipe cross section at the cab end transitioning to a rectangular cross section at the dump end. Dump loads, especially slightly adhesive dump loads such as asphalt or damp sand, are less likely to adhere to the raised end when dumping, compared to a conventional rectangular dump body. Transitioning to a rectangular cross section at the dump end provides more even load distribution across the dump end compared to a conventional half-pipe dump body. In a particular embodiment, the center of gravity of the load is moved further toward the rear wheels during transit, and is kept lower during dumping than with conventional dump bodies.
