Abstract:
Provided is an elevator control apparatus in a building in which a plurality of elevators are installed, the apparatus including: a congestion information detecting means (1B1) for detecting a landing area congestion state at each story floor and in each operating direction of all the elevators and generating congestion degree information about the entire building based on the landing area congestion state; a service state detecting means (1B2) for measuring waiting time for landing area call registrations at all the elevators, calculating an average value of the waiting time, and generating service state information about the entire building based on the average value; and a guidance display means (1B3) for displaying the congestion degree information and the service state information.
Abstract:
The present invention discloses an extension to a prior-art genetic algorithm, with which the routing of elevators based on the calls given in an elevator system is formed. A new type of gene, a so-called run type gene, is connected to the chromosome of the genetic algorithm according to the invention, with which gene the desired speed profile for the elevator trip can be set. In this way e.g. an upper limit can be set for the acceleration or for the maximum travel speed of the elevator. By means of the run type gene a kinetic energy term is included in the optimization. The energy consumed by the system can thus be minimized more effectively by means of the algorithm, because the varying travel speeds of the elevators create more freedom of choice for the chromosomes of the algorithm.
Abstract:
The present invention discloses a method for optimal routing of the elevators in an elevator system in a situation where the supply power received by the system is limited e.g. due to emergency power operation. In the invention, routes are optimized by using a cost function to which has been added a term containing the summed instantaneous power consumed. Power consumption is monitored in real time, and the elevators need a start permission from the control system. A route alternative that exceeds the power limit is penalized in the cost function by a so-called penal term. With the elevator routing obtained as a result, the instantaneous power consumed by the system remains continuously below the set power limit. Some call can thus be postponed to be served later. By the method of the invention, the number of elevators serving passengers in an emergency power situation can be varied dynamically.
Abstract:
An operation control method of plural elevators working between many floors is constructed so that a risk floor having a high probability that a long wait occurs is selected from among floors on which a platform call is not generated when a platform call is newly generated, assuming that along with the newly generated platform call a platform call is generated on the risk floor, allocation evaluations are made on the cases of allocating respective elevators to render services to these calls, an elevator to respond to the new platform call is decided based on the allocation evaluation result, and the plural elevators are controlled to be operated based on this decision.
Abstract:
A method schedules cars of an elevator system in a building. The method begins execution whenever a newly arrived passenger presses an up or down button to generate a call for service. For each car, determine a first waiting time for all existing passengers if the car is assigned to service the call, based on future states of the elevator system. For each car, determine a second waiting time of future passengers if the car is assigned to service the call, based on a landing pattern of the cars. For each car, combine the first and second waiting times to produce an adjusted waiting time, The method ends by assigning a particular car having a lowest adjusted waiting time to service the call and minimize an average waiting time of all passengers.
Abstract:
Energy saving methods and apparatus for elevator systems having a plurality of elevator cars operating in a plurality of elevator shafts are disclosed. The present invention provides methods and apparatus for determining which one of the plurality of elevator cars is to be assigned to a new hall call in order to reduce the net energy consumption of the elevator system over time.
Abstract:
In an elevator system in which two cars operate in each shaft, there is obtained an elevator group control apparatus which is capable of providing efficient services while preventing collisions of cars in each shaft as much as possible. The elevator group control apparatus includes: a traffic detection part (1B) which detects data of car traffic generated in a building; a zone setting part (1C) which sets a dedicated zone and a common zone for each of upper and lower cars in accordance with the results of detection of the traffic detection part; an assignment decision part (1D) which decides a car to be assigned to a call generated at a hall in accordance with a call generation floor, a direction of the call, and a zone set by the zone setting part; an entry determination part (1E) which, when one of two cars in each shaft is coming into the common zone from its dedicated zone, determines, based on the position, the direction of movement, and the state of the other car in the same shaft, whether the one car in each shaft is permitted to enter the common zone; a passing-by instruction part (1F) which gives a passing-by instruction to a prescribed floor in the dedicated zone so as to make each car exit from the common zone to its dedicated zone after each car has entered the common zone; and an operation control part (1G) which controls operation of each car based on the results from the assignment decision part, the entry determination part and the passing-by instruction part.
Abstract:
A procedure for controlling an elevator group consisting of double deck elevators consists of allocating landing calls to elevators and elevator decks in such a way that passenger journey time is optimized. The time of the call and the estimated time of arrival to destination floor are taken into account. Passenger flow and elevator status within the elevator group are monitored and passenger wait time and arrive time estimated based thereon. The best elevator is selected to minimize passenger wait and ride time. The best deck is further selected based on the estimated wait time and ride time to minimize passenger journey time.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a procedure for controlling an elevator group consisting of double-deck elevators. According to the invention, landing calls are allocated to the elevators and after that to the elevator decks in such a way that the passenger journey time is optimised. The procedure of the invention takes into account the time the call has been on and the estimated time of arrival to the destination floor.
Abstract:
Elevator group supervisory control method and system for group supervisory control of a plurality of elevators serving a plurality of floors. The method and apparatus of the invention permits the inputting of qualitative requests (guidance), from the user, concerning elevator operation into the group supervisory control system. Qualitative requests concerning elevator operation are set in the form of guidance (or request) targets. The thus set request targets are converted into control targets for the elevators. Actual group supervisory control is executed using the control targets.
