A flap assembly for a vehicle includes a flap, which by way of a linear actuator drive is pivotably drivable about a pivot axis counter to the gravity of the flap from a closed position to an opened position. The flap assembly includes a spring assembly that acts in a supporting manner on the flap. The actuator drive has an actuator housing that has one end articulated on a component of the body of the vehicle, and an actuator rod being deployable from the other end of the housing. An external end of said actuator rod is articulated on the flap at a radial spacing from the pivot axis. A linear actuator particularly for sliding doors and for sliding door or window closure elements in general, comprising a box-like body, to be fixed with corresponding elements of fixing between the two jambs of a door or of a window or door frame, in order to move a leaf by translational motion, fixed drive elements being accommodated within the box-like body which are adapted to move corresponding transmission elements which are associated with the leaf. The box-like body is telescopic in structure in order to be adapted in length to the width of the space of the door, or other window or door frame, with which it is intended to be used.

The present invention among other things relates to a housing and a construction kit for a control apparatus, e.g. in the form of a controller for a window lifter of a motor vehicle. A controller module with a printed circuit board here is to be accommodated in a housing at least in part, and there are provided two different types of controller modules, e.g. for a right vehicle side on the one hand and for a left vehicle side on the other hand. According to a first aspect of the invention the housing is suitable for both types of controller modules, so that the housing can selectively be combined with the one or the other type of controller module, in order to mount a control apparatus.

A method for assembling an adjusting unit for motor vehicles and the adjusting unit is disclosed. The adjusting unit includes at least two housing parts and further functional components arranged in or on the housing parts. One of the housing parts consists at least partially of a material that absorbs the laser irradiation, and the other housing part consists at least partially of a material that is permeable for the laser irradiation. The method includes connecting the housing parts by emitting laser irradiation, through a region of the housing permeable for the laser irradiation, which strikes another region of the housing absorbing the laser irradiation. The method further includes connecting at least one of the functional components by emitting laser irradiation, through a region of the housing permeable for the laser irradiation, which penetrates into the inside of the housing and connects with the housing at least one functional component arranged in the housing.

A step unit includes: a step member which is provided with a pair of lower rails extending in an opening and closing direction of a slide door of the vehicle; and a rail plate member which is provided to a cutout formed in a part of either of the lower rails and which continuously connects the lower rails in the opening and closing direction. The step member is molded using a resin material and is provided with an insertion hole which vertically penetrates through the step member at a position corresponding to the cutout; and a support extension section which is extended from a side end of the cutout of the lower rail. The rail plate member is mounted to the step member by being inserted so as to penetrate through the insertion hole from above the step member.
