Provided is a routing method in a multi-hop relay cellular network including a mobile station (MS), a base station (BS), and at least one relay station (RS). One of RSs neighboring the MS measures quality of a link to the BS, generates link quality information using the measured link quality, and transmits the link quality information to the MS. The MS receives the link quality information from the RSs, selects an optimal path depending on the received link quality information, and transmits information on the selected optimal path to the BS.

Provided is a method for transmitting/receiving data in a communication system providing Multicast/Broadcast Service (MBS). The method includes, generating transmission data to be transmitted to a receiver; allocating the transmission data to a frame; setting a MAP message that includes information on a frame offset related to the frame; and transmitting to the receiver the MAP message.

Disclosed are a home network system and a contents transmission method for a home network system, wherein the home network system includes: a Video On Demand (VOD) server for providing a VOD contents service and converting the contents to be suited for at least one device at home; a home server being connected to the VOD server and tracking the user's location for managing a context which is situation information on the user's location and the user's location movement associated with the device close to the user among the at least one device; and an internal communication device identifying the device for networking the home server and the at least one device. In accordance with the present invention, since contents are transmitted after being converted so as to be suitable to a device, it is possible to increase job efficiency in a home network system.

An apparatus and method for transmitting and receiving a signal according to a change of downlink channel information by a mobile station in a broadband wireless access communication system. The method includes: detecting the change of the downlink channel information; receiving a report from a base station that there is data for the mobile station; and reporting the change of the downlink channel information to the base station, so that the base station and the mobile station have same downlink channel information.

A broadband wireless access communication system including a serving BS that periodically broadcasts an MOB_NBR-ADV message to an MS, and different kinds of heterogeneous networks. In order to communicate using the neighbor Base Station (BS) information, the serving BS gathers information about neighbor BSs and determines if heterogeneous communication systems exist using the gathered information. If the heterogeneous communication systems exist, the serving BS includes the information about the heterogeneous communication systems in the MOB_NBR-ADV message and broadcasts the MOB_NBR-ADV message to an MSS. If the MOB_NBR-ADV message is received from the serving BS, the MSS identifies if the heterogeneous communication systems exist using the MOB_NBR-ADV message.

A method of manufacturing an LCD comprising, preparing a liquid crystal panel which comprises a substrate assembly and a polarizing plate, wherein the polarizing plate is attached to the substrate assembly, disposing a gas injecting part towards the plate surface of the liquid crystal panel, while the gas injecting part is exposed to atmospheric conditions, and applying a pressure to the plate surface of the liquid crystal panel by injecting gas through the gas injecting part. With this configuration, the present invention provides a method to remove bubbles between the polarizing plate and liquid crystal panel without the use of a chamber.

A system for a periodic ranging in a BWA communication system. In the system, a receiver in a sleep mode of a wireless communication system receives a sleep mode transition message, which including first information relating to a timing point at which the periodic ranging is performed, from a transmitter, transits to the sleep mode, and performs the periodic ranging at a timing point corresponding to the first information. Accordingly, the periodic ranging of the receiver in the sleep mode can be performed.

A method for transmitting a traffic indication message for directing a mobile subscriber station (MSS) in a sleep mode to transition to an awake mode in a Broadband Wireless Access communication system supporting the sleep mode and the awake mode. This method includes the steps of individually allocating, to MSSs belonging to a corresponding base station, corresponding areas indicating traffic instructions for the MSSs in a traffic indication field in the traffic indication message, and indicating state transition instructions in the areas allocated to the MSSs, before transmitting the traffic indication message to the MSSs.

A method and apparatus for transmitting a DL-WUCH for a mode transition in a sleeping state in a broadband wireless communication system are provided. In the broadband wireless communication system, a base station (BS) transmits control information to a plurality of subscriber stations (SSs) on a common control channel. To demodulate a control channel signal received from the BS, an SS receives a wakeup channel signal which indicates whether the control channel signal includes control information for the SS, reads a wakeup channel indicator at a predetermined position assigned to the SS of the wakeup channel signal, and determines whether to demodulate the control channel signal according to the wakeup channel indicator.
