Abstract:
Isoxazolyl- and isoxazolinyl-substituted benzoylcyclohexanediones, process for their preparation and their use as herbicides and plant growth regulators. Benzoylcyclohexanediones of the formula (I), process for their preparation and their use as herbicides and plant growth regulators are described. In formula (I) R1, R2, R3, R4, R5, R6, R7, Ra, Rb, and Rc are various radicals and Y and Z are a monoatomic bridge element.
Abstract:
When herbicides are applied, surfactants can affect the wettability of leaves of the plants and the effectiveness of the herbicides. According to the invention, a particular intensification of action is achieved when surfactants from the group comprising the C.sub.10 -C.sub.18 -alkyl polyglycol ether sulfates and their physiologically acceptable salts together with leaf-acting selective herbicides or the leaf-acting non-selective herbicides glyphosate, paraquat or diquat are applied.
Abstract:
Phytotoxic side effects of the herbicide of the formula (A1) (flupyrsulfuron) or herbicidal salts thereof ##STR1## on crops, preferably cereals and maize, can be prevented by combining the herbicides with safeners (B) from the groupa) compounds of the formulae (B1) and (B2), ##STR2## in which W is a divalent heterocyclic radical from the group of the partially unsaturated or heteroaromatic five-membered heterocycles having 1 to 3 hetero ring atoms of the type N and O, at least one nitrogen atom and at the most one oxygen atom being present in the ring, andX, n, Z, R*, and W are as defined in claim 1, and/orb) compounds of the group of the hormonal growth regulators (auxins).
Abstract:
Compounds of the formula (I) ##STR1## where X, n, R.sup.1, R.sup.2 and R.sup.3 are as defined in claim 1 are suitable as antidotes against phytotoxic secondary effects of herbicides in crop plants without adversely affecting the action of the herbicides against harmful plants.
Abstract:
Compounds of formula (I), where R.sup.1, R.sup.2, n, W, R.sup.3 and A are as defined in claim 1, are suitable for use as herbicides and plant growth regulators. They can be produced by a process similar to known processes. To produce them, new compounds of formula (II) are reacted with a carbamate of formula R*--O--CO--NR.sup.3 A, where R.sup.3 stands for phenyl or alkyl. The compounds of formula (II) can be obtained from the corresponding sulphochlorides.
Abstract:
Herbicide/safener combinations ofA) herbicides selected from the group of the 2-acylated 1,3-dicarbonyl compounds or salts thereof, andB) safeners B1 and/or B2 ##STR1## as they are defined in claim 1, are suitable for controlling harmful plants in crops such as cereals, maize and rice.
Abstract:
Compounds of the formula I ##STR1## where R.sup.1 to R.sup.9 are as defined in claim 1 are known as herbicides. When these compounds are applied in traditionally used amounts, this often results in damage to crop plants in the crops, when it is desired to achieve sufficient action against weeds typically occurring therein. However, according to the invention it is possible to reduce the application rates to 0.001 to 0.5 kg of a.i./ha in rice growing, and the action obtained against important harmful plants in rice from the species Sagittaria, Cyperus and Scirpus Eleocharis is nevertheless sufficient.
Abstract:
Compounds of formula (I) or salts thereof, ##STR1## in which J is a radical of the formula R.sup.1 SO.sub.2 --CR.sup.2 R.sup.3 --, R.sup.4 R.sup.5 N--SO.sub.2 --CR.sup.2 R.sup.3 --, or ##STR2## and wherein the radicals R.sup.1, R.sup.2, R.sup.3, R.sup.6, R.sup.7, R.sup.8, R.sup.*, A, W, m, n and 0 are defined as set forth in the specification, are suitable as selective herbicides and plant growth regulators.
Abstract:
Compounds of the formula I or salts thereof ##STR1## where R.sup.1 is H or an aliphatic radical; R.sup.2 and R.sup.3 are H, alkyl or phenyl; W is O, S, NR.sup.4 or NOR.sup.4 ; X is CHR.sup.2, O or NR.sup.4 ; L is a (substituted) phenyl, naphthyl or monocyclic heteroaryl radical, A is a (substituted) pyrimidyl, triazinyl, triazolyl or bicyclic heteroaryl radical, and m and n are 0 or 1, have advantageously herbicidal or plant growth-regulating properties.
Abstract:
Compounds of the formula (I) ##STR1## where X.sup.1 and X.sup.2 independently of one another are halogen or haloalkyl,R.sup.1 is hydrogen, alkyl or alkyloxyalkyl,R.sup.2 is alkyl or haloalkyl, andR.sup.3 is hydrogen, alkyl, alkenyl or alkynyl, can reduce, or entirely compensate, phytotoxic secondary effects of herbicides on crop plants and are therefore suitable as agents for the selective use of herbicides.
