A ranging region is established with the mobile station in which the establishment of the ranging region includes the transmission of control information corresponding to the relay node.     摘要: A method and apparatus for wireless communication in which groups of expected mobile device mobility speed ranges are established. A first sub-carrier block arrangement for the group having the lowest expected mobility speed range is determined. The first sub-carrier block arrangement is comprised of a plurality of sub-carriers. A second sub-carrier block arrangement for a group having an expected mobility speed range faster than the expected speed range of the lowest expected speed range group is determined. The second sub-carrier block arrangement is comprised of the plurality of sub-carriers. The first and second sub-carrier block arrangements are different but use the same sub-carrier spacing and symbol duration.

    摘要: Current radio frame structures in Long-Term Evolution (LTE) and New Radio (NR) have some restrictions. A frame structure is disclosed herein that aims to provide more flexibility. Embodiments of the flexible frame structure include different parameters that are flexible, i.e. that are configurable. A non-exhaustive list of parameters that may be configurable include: length of the frame; length of a subframe (if a subframe is even defined); length of a slot and/or number of symbol blocks in a slot (if a slot is even defined); length of the CP and/or data portion in a symbol block, or ratio of CP to data portion, which may vary between symbol blocks; downlink/uplink switching gap length, etc.

    摘要: Methods and apparatus are described for enabling downlink transparent relay in a wireless communication network. In a wireless communications network, a base station and a mobile station may communicate with each other via a relay station, as needed. Transparent relay may allow for relay communication between a base station and a mobile station although the mobile station is unaware of the relay station. However, non-contiguous transmission of a relay station may lead to channel quality measurement and channel estimation degradation during downlink transparent relay. According to some aspects, a base station may schedule a mobile station to a transmission mode that utilizes dedicated pilot signals for downlink transparent relay, and a relay station may transmit data and dedicated pilot signals over the same channel resources as the base station. According to some aspects, the relay station may null common pilot signals transmitted by the base station.
