摘要: A fuel cell system has: a water supply cycle for supplying water to a fuel cell stack through piping; n numbers of pressure detection devices (n is an even number of two or greater) provided on the piping and detecting pressure of the water; and a control device for determining a pressure anomaly of the water within the piping by comparing a predetermined anomaly determination value to a pressure calculated value obtained by calculation of pressure values detected by the n numbers of pressure detection devices, the calculation including at least addition. In the fuel cell system, if a center point of the piping is divided into n numbers of equal parts by axis lines and one of the axis lines is set as an axis line of a reference pressure detection device, the other pressure detection device is provided within an angle range of ±360/2n degrees about the other axis line.

摘要: An automatic injection device has piston holders holding cylinder pistons and plural systems of heads having a drive mechanism for moving the piston holders forward and backward so that the device can hold a plurality of syringes and operates injection or suction in each syringe independently. This device also has a mechanism for prohibiting the backward-moving of the piston holder of a second head when the piston holder of a first head is in a forward-moving state and the piston holder of the second head is in a stopped state. This structure effectively prevents liquid from being undesirably mixed and the injection amount thereof from becoming less accurate.

摘要: An improved carbon/metal composite which includes a carbon matrix and metal fibers distributed in the carbon matrix. The improvement is that the metal fibers are selected from (A) metal fibers in which the surfaces of at least a portion of the fibers are coated or alloyed with another material which has a tendency to form carbides which is equal to or lower than that of the metal constituting the metal fibers, (B) metal fibers including at least two different types of metal fibers which differ with respect to their dimensions and/or material, and (C) metal fibers distributed in the carbon matrix in such a manner that their content varies along the thickness of the composite, thereby imparting to the composite improved properties with respect to at least one of mechanical strength, impact resistance, wear resistance, and electric conductivity.

摘要: A method for producing a single solid metal work piece having different mechanical characteristics in different sections. A groove is cut in the piece between each section. A partitioning wall is inserted in the groove with the remainder of the groove filled with insulating material. Different sections are heated to different quenching temperatures then cooled at the same or different rates. For example, one section may be cooled by water spraying while another is cooled by air blast.

摘要: A bearing to be used in an internal combustion engine, comprises a base and an overlay layer formed on said base. The overlay layer comprises an alloy layer consisting of from 5 to 20%, preferably from 10 to 14%, of Sn, from 0.05 to 10%, preferably from 0.5 to 5%, of at least one element selected from the group consisting of In and Tl, from 0.05 to 5%, preferably from 0.2 to 2%, of at least one, wear resistance-enhancing element selected from the group consisting of Sb, Mn, Bi, Ni, Cu, Ca and Ba, and Pb and impurities in balance, all percentages being by weight. The bearing is satisfactorily reliable when used in recent internal combustion engines, wherein the output of the engines tends to be high, and further, the oil drain interval tends to be long. The plating of layers and diffusion between these layers are conducted to produce a bearing which is reliable when used in the recent internal combustion engines.
