摘要: Disclosed herewith is a data recording and reading equipment capable of reducing laser noise easily. At first, a laser beam source that can reduce the laser noise when reading data from a subject optical disk is obtained. A modulator capable of varying laser attenuation with a voltage is disposed so as to precede the laser, thereby the laser noise when reading data from the optical disk can be reduced without lowering the laser power when in writing.

摘要: To reduce a bad influence on a tracking control signal and a data signal by reflected light from an adjacent layer on a multi-layer disc as stray light, the following device is made in the invention. Reflected light from the multi-layer optical disc including stray light from another layer is once converged by a reflected light condenser lens and is reflected on a reflector. A grating which prevents zero-order light from being generated by setting groove depth to λ/4 and which is set to pitch to prevent positive and negative first- or higher-order diffracted lights from returning to the reflected light condenser lens is arranged between the lens and the reflector including an optical axis with the grating apart from the reflector. Hereby, as reflected light from another layer is cut off though reflected light from a corresponding layer is transmitted to a detector, a detected control signal and a detected data signal are not influenced by reflected light from another layer.

摘要: The present invention relates to apparatus and method, which are capable of achieving free layout editing/printout in a state of mixing image data having different format in the same page. Specifically, predetermined (different/same) image processing using block data as a unit is carried out according to the result of reading attribute information added to input block data. The processed block data is converted into a format printable out on the same page.

摘要: According to the present invention, an optimum value of a laser power for recording data on a high-density optical disk can be set with high accuracy. A test signal whose erase power Pe is fixed and recording power Pw is varied is recorded on the optical disk. The recorded signal is reproduced and a β value representing asymmetry of the reproduced signal is obtained for each recording power. An optimum recording power Pwo is set from a recording power with which the obtained β value becomes a target β value. Hereby, the fixed erase power Pe is determined from measurement results of a value of a modulation factor M of another test signal recorded. Alternatively, the fixed erase power Pe follows strategy information defined in advance for the optical disk. Or Pe≈0 is used regardless of the optical disk.

摘要: A hose coupling according to the present invention for securing a hose has a cylindrical nipple and a cylindrical socket disposed radially outwardly thereof. A plurality of circumferentially extending annular hose gripping projections are provided on a radially inner surface of the socket in a predetermined interval along a longitudinal direction of the nipple. The hose comprises an elastic tube layer and a reinforcing layer disposed radially outwardly thereof, and is to be secured between the nipple and the socket by crimping the socket after the hose is inserted between the nipple and the socket. At least one hose gripping projection of the plurality of hose gripping projections protrudes radially inwardly of the socket greater than other hose gripping projections.
