Abstract:
Aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication and to mechanisms designed to help improve dynamic sharing of one or more receive chains among different radio access technologies (RATs). For example, the mechanisms may be used with LTE and other RATs where Carrier Aggregation is used for simultaneous voice and LTE (SV-LTE) applications.
Abstract:
Methods, apparatus, and computer program products for managing mobility in a multi-radio device are provided. One example method generally includes detecting that a first channel is not usable for communicating via a first radio access technology (RAT); receiving a message to redirect from a second channel to the first channel; determining the first channel is in a set of one or more blocked channels not usable for the first RAT; and in response to the determination, taking one or more actions. Another example method generally includes detecting that a first channel is not usable for communicating via a first RAT and providing an indication to a network that a user equipment (UE) no longer supports the first channel.
Abstract:
Managing of secondary carriers for a multicarrier user equipment (UE) is described in which the UE initiates or provides input for activation and deactivation of selected secondary cells in a carrier aggregation depending on allocation or provisioning of UE radio frequency resources.
Abstract:
A method of wireless communication, by a transmitting device, includes encoding information packets with an outer code to generate a first outer codeword. The first outer codeword includes information packets in addition to parity packets. The method also includes transmitting, to a receiving device, the information packets and the parity packets of the first outer codeword, according to a sequence. A method of wireless communication by a receiving device, includes receiving packets belonging to a first outer codeword, the packets including information packets and parity packets. The method also includes storing the packets in a buffer; and flushing the packets from the buffer in response to satisfying a condition.
Abstract:
Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive, from a primary cell or a primary secondary cell (PSCell), configuration information for a conditional PSCell addition or change (CPAC), the configuration information indicating configurations for one or more candidate PSCells. The UE may detect a failure, associated with the conditional PSCell addition or change, associated with a first target PSCell from the one or more candidate PSCells. The UE may perform an action to recover the CPAC based at least in part on detecting the failure. Numerous other aspects are described.
Abstract:
Some aspects provide for establishing a radio connection for the wireless communication, determining a configuration for whether to segment one or more packets for the wireless communication using the established radio connection, and communicating the one or more packets based on the determined configuration. Some aspects provide for assembling a first frame comprising one or more packets, transmitting the first frame, determining whether a portion of one or more packets was truncated during the assembling of the first frame, and transmitting a second frame comprising at least the truncated portion of the one or more packets of the first frame. Some aspects provide for receiving a first frame comprising one or more packets, determining that a portion of one or more packets is truncated, and determining whether to ignore as padding at least the truncated portion of the one or more packets of the first frame.
Abstract:
Certain aspects of the present disclosure are generally directed to extended signaling protocols for multi-subscriber identity module (MSIM) user-equipment (UE) for new radio (NR). For example, certain aspects provide a method for wireless communication by a UE. The method generally includes receiving a first message from a network entity enquiring regarding information associated with a multi-subscriber identify module (SIM) capability of the UE, determining the information associated with the multi-SIM capability of the UE in response to the inquiry from the network entity, and communicating one or more messages to indicate the information regarding the multi-SIM capability to the network entity.
Abstract:
Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques and apparatus for determining neural network functions (NNFs) and configuring and using corresponding machine learning (ML) models for performing one or more ML-based wireless communications management procedures. An example method performed by a user equipment includes transmitting, to a base station (BS), UE capability information indicating at least one radio capability of the UE and at least one machine learning (ML) capability of the UE and receiving, from the BS based on the UE capability information, ML configuration information indicating at least one neural network function (NNF) and at least one ML model corresponding to the at least one NNF.
Abstract:
Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may determine an antenna switching capability for the UE that relates to a capability of the UE to switch an antenna for a plurality of bands that are included in a band combination of a set of band combinations supported by the UE, wherein at least two bands of the plurality of bands correspond to a first radio access technology (RAT) and a second RAT respectively. The UE may signal the set of band combinations and the antenna switching capability to a base station. Numerous other aspects are provided.
Abstract:
A method, a computer-readable medium, and an apparatus are provided for wireless communication at a network node having a split bearer configuration with a user equipment (UE). The network node measures, at a primary node (MN) or a secondary node (SN), a data burst statistic for the network node, the data burst statistic being based on at least one of a burst level throughput or a packet loss measurement for a data burst between the UE and the MN based on a first bearer in the split bearer configuration or between the UE and the SN based on a second bearer in the split bearer configuration. The network node provides the data burst statistic from the network node to at least one of the MN or a core network component.
