摘要： A rotating motor is provided which permits heat to be efficiently dissipated from all of the stator, rotor, and inner and outer races of bearings. This assures that the rotor exhibits a high intensity as it turns. Also, long bearing life is assured. A coolant enters a cooling passage formed in a first end bracket from entrance pipes and makes a half revolution, thus cooling a first one of the bearings. Also, the coolant cools the rotor via cooling disks and rotor disks. Then, the coolant flows into an outer surface-cooling passage in a motor housing and takes a zigzag course so as to make a substantially half revolution, thus cooling the stator. The coolant then flows into a cooling passage in a second end bracket and makes one revolution, thus cooling a second bearing. At the same time, the rotor is cooled via the cooling disks and rotor disks. Subsequently, the coolant enters another outer surface-cooling passage and makes a substantially half revolution, thus cooling the stator. The coolant then flows into another cooling passage in the aforementioned first end bracket and makes a substantially half revolution, thus cooling the first bearing again. Also, the rotor is cooled via the cooling disks and rotor disks.

摘要： A data cartridge drive for use with a data cartridge having a front end formed with a magnetic head insert recess and a lid pivotably mounted to the front end for openably closing the magnetic head insert recess. The data cartridge drive includes a housing; a front panel mounted on a front end of the housing and having a cartridge insert opening from which the data cartridge is inserted into the housing; a lid opening member located in the housing at a position near the front panel on one lateral side of the cartridge insert opening, the lid opening member being slidable in an insert direction of the data cartridge and an eject direction opposite to the insert direction and being adapted to relatively come into abutment against a counter end portion of the lid of the data cartridge inserted from the cartridge insert opening into the housing to pivotally open the lid; and a biasing member for biasing the lid opening member in the eject direction of the data cartridge. Accordingly, the data cartridge drive can accept both the related art data cartridge and the large-capacity data cartridge, and can ensure safe opening of the lid with no interference with the magnetic head.

摘要： A tape cassette is provided which has indicia indicating the characteristics of the tape contained therein. In one embodiment an information discriminating mark, capable of being optically sensed is provided on the magnetic tape. Fluctuations in the transmittance of the tape are detected by a photodetector device and a difference in the detected output is utilized for identifying the type of the tape cassette. In another embodiment, the bottom surface of the tape cassette is provided with physical indicia indicating the characteristics of the tape contained therein.

A camming surface is provided on the cartridge which forces the restraint downwardly to restrain the disk when the cartridge is not in use. 摘要： Disclosed is an apparatus for controlling a motor unit including a variable-speed reversible main motor for driving a load and a subsidiary motor for driving a fan. The control apparatus comprises a temperature sensor circuit sensing the temperature of the main motor and generating a first output signal when the temperature of the main motor exceeds a first predetermined level, a second output signal when the main motor temperature exceeds a second predetermined level higher than the first predetermined level and a third output signal when the main motor temperature drops to a level lower than the first predetermined level, and a control circuit connected to the temperature sensor circuit for energizing the subsidiary motor in response to the first output signal, deenergizing the main motor in response to the second output signal and deenergizing the subsidiary motor in response to the third output signal.
