摘要： A method is provided for sealing locking components of a retractor, wherein the locking components cooperate with a spool shaft extending from, and rotatable with, a rotatable spool of the retractor to selectively lock rotation of the spool. The method includes mounting a base of an open-ended housing to the retractor with the spool shaft accessible via an opening in the base when so mounted, positioning a sealing member to extend about and engage a periphery of the opening and to also extend about and engage a periphery of the spool shaft, operatively arranging the locking components within the interior of the housing, and hermetically sealing a cover to the open end of the housing after the housing is mounted to the retractor. The sealing member engages the peripheries of the first opening and the spool shaft and blocks ingress of moisture and particles to the locking components.

摘要： In a webbing-winding device, a tension acting on a webbing is smaller when a pretensioner-mechanism is actuated than when a force-limiter mechanism is actuated, thus, projection dimensions of a first claw and a second claw can be made smaller than projection dimensions of second contact portions. A total of contact areas of first contact portions and the second contact portions with a body portion is larger than a total of contact areas of the first claw and the second claw with the body portion. Accordingly, the first claw and the second claw are caused to insert through an insertion hole from the lower side of a stay to attach. Since the projection dimensions can be made smaller, an amount of deflection of the protector can be made smaller. Therefore, the protector can be held on the stay reliably to allow the protector to be attached to the stay easily.

摘要： A seatbelt retractor has: a holding plate arranged at a housing outer side and including a shaft receiving hole which rotatably supports a cylindrical shaped boss portion formed at a take-up drum side end of the driven body; and a restricting member arranged at take-up drum side of the holding plate to restrict movement of the boss portion in radial direction so that the boss portion projecting from the hole is positioned co-axial with the take-up drum. The boss portion which faces an inner peripheral surface of the hole includes a pair of radially projecting portions provided on both sides with reference to rotation axis direction projecting radially outward at full periphery of the boss portion. The pair of radially projecting portions project radially outward over the hole so at least a peripheral edge portion of the hole is inserted in clearance defined by the pair of radially projecting portions.

摘要： In a webbing take-up device, a housing portion configuring a recessed shape opening in a direction orthogonal to a fastening direction of a screw is formed to a body. A head portion of the screw is housed inside the housing portion, and the screw is inserted through an insertion portion in one side wall of the housing portion and fastened to the frame. A tool hole is formed in another side wall of the housing portion. A tool can accordingly be inserted through the tool hole to fasten the screw to the frame. The other side wall is formed with a fixing hole that fixes a spring cover, the fixing hole overlapping with the head portion as viewed along the screw fastening direction. A placement space of the screw and the fixing hole in the body as viewed along the screw fastening direction can accordingly be made small.

A guide member 18 having a guide surface 18c that guides the balls has attaching grooves 18 as recesses. The attaching portion 17c is fitted into the attaching grooves 18, whereby the pipe 17 is attached around the outer circumference thereof to the guide member 18 attached to a frame. Since the guide member 18 is provided on the outer circumference of the pipe 17, the pipe 17 can be shortened.

The lock assembly housing can include a sidewall portion having one or more drain openings to allow dirt, mud, water, or other unwanted debris to exit the lock assembly housing.
