    Abstract: An all-terrain vehicle is disclosed having a braking system with an anti-lock braking control module and a first brake master cylinder hydraulically coupled to the anti-lock braking control module. A first brake actuator is coupled to the first brake master cylinder and a brake caliper is coupled to at least some of the ground engaging members. The first brake master cylinder upon actuation provides anti-lock braking to either the first or second ground engaging members. A second brake master cylinder is hydraulically coupled to the anti-lock braking control module. A second brake actuator is coupled to the second brake master cylinder and a brake caliper is coupled to at least some of the ground engaging members. The second brake master cylinder upon actuation provides anti-lock braking to either the first or second ground engaging members. The vehicle also has a speed monitor with a gear ring positioned on an exterior surface of a stub shaft and a speed pickup positioned adjacent to the gear ring.

    Abstract: A seat assembly for a vehicle having a longitudinal axis has a seat pan, a cover support adjacent to the seat pan and a seat cover comprising an upper surface and a first longitudinally extending side surface and a second longitudinally extending side surface. A heating and cooling module is disposed at least partially within the cover support. An air inlet is in communication with the heating and cooling module. The air inlet communicates air from a port in the seat cover to the heating and cooling module. An ambient condition sensor generates an ambient condition signal. A user interface generates a user setting corresponding to a comfort condition. A controller is coupled to the ambient condition sensor and the heating and cooling module. The controller controls the heating and cooling module in response to the user setting and the ambient condition signal.

    Abstract: A generator to generate electrical power from rotational motion and a method of making the generator. The generator includes a rotor including a plurality of magnetic poles; and a stator including a magnetic core comprising a body and teeth extending radially from the body and defining a plurality of slots therebetween. The stator also includes a first three-phase winding and a second three-phase winding, each of the first three-phase winding and the second three phase winding including first, second, and third phase windings comprised of coils individually wound around each of the teeth. At least two coils of each of the first, second, and third phase windings of the first three-phase winding and the second three phase winding are individually wound on teeth positioned next to each other.

    Abstract: A continuously variable transmission (CVT) is disclosed which is operable in a first direction to transfer power from a power source to ground engaging members of a vehicle, and in a second direction where the ground engaging members brake and/or drive the engine. The CVT has a braking assembly having a thrust member positioned over a drive clutch shaft and adjacent an outer sheave of the drive clutch. A flanged sleeve is operatively coupled to the drive clutch shaft and generally positioned intermediate the inner and outer sheaves of the drive clutch, with a portion of the flanged sleeve being adjacent the thrust member. The flanged sleeve is fixed relative to the drive clutch shaft when operating in the first direction and is cooperable with the thrust member to move the flanged member axially relative to the drive clutch shaft and towards the inner sheave when operating in the second direction.
