Abstract:
A coin dispensing apparatus includes a storage interior for storing bulk coins, a coin passageway extending along a vertical longitudinal axis upward from the storage container to an exit aperture, and a coin selector for selectively sending coins upward along the coin passageway. A lever is pivotably mounted for contacting the coin as it exits the exit aperture, and a sensor unit operatively connected with the lever can count the coins as they exit. The lever and the sensor unit can be appropriately aligned in a fixed relationship and a mounting assembly that is mounting the lever and the sensor unit adjacent the exit aperture can be adjusted traverse to to the longitudinal axis to accommodate different size coins.
Abstract:
A miniaturizes lifting style coin hopper is provided with a coin escalator device. The lifting style hopper equipment uses a small hopper with improved escalator equipment. The escalator equipment for coins includes a back plate with a curved surface for carrying a plurality of coins which are arranged in a single plane row from bottom to top. A pair of spacers are placed at each side on the upper surface of this back plate, respectively. The escalator equipment for coins has at least a plurality of idlers which are freely rotatably arranged, covering the back plate between the paired spacers. A spring device presses these idlers to the back plate.
Abstract:
A control device detects a curve in front of a vehicle based on the vehicle position and map information, and a driver's accelerator pedal operation is detected based on a sensor output. When a curve is detected in front of the vehicle and it is detected that the driver has released the accelerator pedal, a speed ratio of the automatic transmission is modified to generate a deceleration force.
Abstract:
A disk shaped tunable optical filter is formed by a transparent substrate in a disk shape, and a filter layer formed on a top surface of the substrate, having such a filter characteristic that a transmission central wavelength varies along a circumferential direction as a monotonic function of a viewing angle. This disk shaped tunable optical filter can be advatageously utilized in realizing a wavelength discrimination apparatus, a reference wavelength light generation apparatus, an optical packet generation apparatus, and a tunable optical filter module, which are also disclosed.
Abstract:
An apparatus for dispensing disc bodies such as coins or tokens is set forth which includes a fixed substrate and a dispensing disc spaced from said substrate a distance related to the thickness of said disc bodies. The dispensing disc includes a plurality of openings having a diameter adapted to receive a disc body for dispensing thereof. The dispensing disc is attached to a shaft which is axially moveable to adjust the space between the dispensing disc and substrate. The shaft is connected to a motor through an axially aligned planetary gear apparatus. Rotation of the dispensing disc receives coins or tokens in the openings and space whereupon the coins are moved for dispensing. An elevation body engages the dispensing disc and includes a plurality of annular teeth. An adjustment body has teeth to engage the elevation body teeth. Rotation of the adjustment body axially adjusts the elevation body and dispensing disc to adjust the space to accept different thicknesses of coins.
Abstract:
A control apparatus for controlling movement of a table supporting an object under inspection in a medical diagnosis system includes a driving power unit for moving the table, a position detector for outputting a signal indicating a position of the table, a positioning servo-control unit for controlling the driving power unit so that the detected position signal coincides with a given desired value, a manipulating force detector for outputting a force signal corresponding to a manipulating force applied by an operator, a force-to-position conversion unit for converting the force signal into a position change quantity for the table, a force control unit for controlling the driving power unit in accordance with the position change quantity so long as the manipulating force is being detected, and a change-over unit for selecting either the positioning servo-control unit or the force control unit in response to operation of the operator.
Abstract:
An apparatus for dispensing disks comprising a disk passage having an outlet in which the disks are arranged edge-to-edge for storage and dispensing. A closure member, such as a rotatable spherical member, is provided for closing the outlet. The closure member is arranged to apply force to a face of a disk in the region of the outlet whereby the disk is dispensed from the outlet through a guide assembly. The closure member is opened by the camming action of the disk in the region of the outlet. A spring plate is provided to bias the closure member towards a closed position wherein the outlet is normally closed.
Abstract:
The process for producing an aliphatic nitrile comprising reacting an aliphatic alcohol having 6 to 40 carbon atoms with ammonia (a) in the presence of a copper/transition metal element in the fourth period other than Cr/platinum group element in the eighth group catalyst, (b) under a reaction system pressure in the range of from atmospheric pressure to 100 atm, (c) at a reaction system temperature in the range of from 100.degree. to 250.degree. C., (d) while introducing at least one gas selected from the group consisting of inert gases and hydrogen gas into the reaction system, (e) removing water formed by the reaction out of the reaction system, and (f) controlling the amount of the ammonia contained in the gas (exclusive of the water formed by the reaction) discharged out of the reaction system to 5 to 50% by volume based on the volume of the gas discharged (exclusive of the water formed by the reaction) makes it possible to produce various kinds of aliphatic nitriles.
Abstract:
N,N-Dimethyl-N-alkylamine or -alkenylamine is prepared by reacting a higher alcohol and dimethylamine by passing hydrogen gas and dimethylamine into a reactor containing a catalyst for the reaction at a pressure of atmospheric pressure to 100 atm. at 150.degree. C. to 250.degree. C. and removing water produced in the reaction as a component of the mixed hydrogen and unreacted dimethylamine gas which is discharged from the reactor, wherein at the point in the reaction at which from 90 to 99% of the higher alcohol has reacted with dimethylamine, one of the following procedures is followed: i) the introduction of only dimethylamine gas into the reactor is stopped, and the reaction is allowed to continue at a temperature 20.degree. to 150.degree. C. lower than the reaction temperature recited above; ii) the introduction of only dimethylamine gas into the reactor is stopped while the temperature is decreased to a level of 20.degree. to 150.degree. C. lower than the temperature recited above, and the reaction is allowed to proceed at the reduced temperature; or iii) the introduction of only dimethylamine gas into the reactor is stopped immediately after decreasing the temperature to a level of 20.degree. to 150.degree. C. lower than the temperature recited above, and the reaction is allowed to continue at the reduced temperature.
