Abstract: A radio terminal according to an embodiment includes a controller configured to control a random access procedure. The random access procedure includes first processing of transmitting a random access preamble to a base station, second processing of receiving a random access response from the base station, and third processing of performing uplink transmission to the base station based on the random access response. The controller is configured to notify, in the first processing or the third processing, the base station of an amount of uplink data in a transmission buffer of the radio terminal.

Abstract: A communication device according to an embodiment comprises: a controller configured to perform radio communication with another communication device in a mobile communication system to which an MDT function is applied. The controller obtains an MDT measurement result obtained by measuring a parameter in the radio communication. The parameter is a parameter affected by a latency reduction function. The controller adds, to the MDT measurement result, identification information on whether or not the latency reduction function is applied, depending on whether or not the latency reduction function is applied to the radio communication.

The user terminal comprises: a receiver configured to receive, from a base station, candidate timing information indicating candidate timings of an uplink transmission on an unlicensed band channel that is a frequency channel of an unlicensed band; a controller configured to determine, by monitoring the unlicensed band channel, a transmission timing at which the uplink transmission to the base station is performed, from the candidate timings indicated by the candidate timing information; and a transmitter configured to transmit, at the transmission timing, uplink data via the unlicensed band channel to the base station.

The communication control method includes a step of simultaneously performing, by a UE 100, communication with a first cell operating as a main cell in which blind decoding for the CSS is required, and communication with a second cell operating as a subordinate cell other than the main cell; and a step of transmitting, by the UE 100, to the first cell, a main cell change request for changing the main cell from the first cell to the second cell.

Abstract: A user terminal and processor for controlling a user terminal having the function of device-to-device (D2D) discovery. In an aspect, a user terminal determines whether a user terminal is in a radio resource control (RRC) idle mode, receives a system information block (SIB) broadcasted by the base station in the RRC idle mode, and transmits a discovery signal to other user terminal by the D2D discovery based on the SIB. The SIB includes resource information indicating usable radio resources for transmitting the discovery signal and power information for controlling transmission power used in transmitting the discovery signal. In another aspect, the terminal stores preconfigured resource and power information used to control D2D discovery, determines whether the terminal is in out of coverage by not detecting at least one cell meeting a criterion, and determines to use the stored resource and power information in response to an out of coverage determination.

Abstract: A user terminal, apparatus therefor, and method performed at a user terminal perform device-to-device (D2D) communication that is direct inter-terminal communication. The terminal stores preconfigured resource information and power information used to control the D2D communication, determines whether the user terminal is in out of coverage by not detecting at least one cell meeting a criterion based on a received power of radio signal, and determines to use the resource information and the power information stored in the storage in response to an out of coverage determination. The user terminal transmits data to other user terminal by the D2D communication based on both the resource information and the power information while the user terminal exists in the out of coverage.
