    Abstract: Systems, methods and apparatus of vehicle security operations during parking. For example, a vehicle includes: a proximity sensor configured to detect presence of an object approaching the vehicle when the vehicle is in a parking state; at least one camera configured to monitor surroundings of the vehicle when the vehicle is in the parking state; and an artificial neural network configured to extract identification information of the object from images generated by the camera and determine a security classification of the presence of the object. The identification information is stored in the vehicle and/or transmitted to a server or a mobile device, in response to the security classification being in a predefined category.

    Abstract: Systems, methods and apparatus of predictive maintenance of vehicles. For example, one or more sensors are configured to generate a sensor data stream during operations of the vehicle on a road. An artificial neural network (ANN) configured to receive the sensor data stream and predict a maintenance service based on the sensor data stream. For example, the artificial neural network can be trained using the sensor data stream collected within a predetermined time period of the vehicle leaving a factory or a maintenance service facility. The vehicle can be considered to be operating in a normal condition during such a period of time such that the ANN can be trained to detect anomaly that deviates from the normal patterns of the sensor data stream. For example, the ANN can be a spiking neural network (SNN).

    Abstract: Systems, methods and apparatus of optimizing neural network computations of predictive maintenance of vehicles. For example, a data storage device of a vehicle includes: a host interface configured to receive a sensor data stream from at least one sensor configured on the vehicle; at least one storage media component having a non-volatile memory; and a controller. The non-volatile memory is configured into multiple partitions (e.g., namespaces) having different sets of memory operation settings configured for different types of data related to an artificial neural network (ANN). The partitions include an output partition configured to store output data from the ANN. The sensor data stream is applied in the ANN to predict a maintenance service of the vehicle. The memory units of the input partition can be configured for cyclic sequential overwrite of selected outputs that are updated less frequently than inputs to the ANN.

    Abstract: Machine learning based firmware optimization can include iteratively producing different versions of firmware for operating a physical memory device within a respective defined acceptable range of values for different operational parameters. Iteratively producing different versions of firmware can include deploying an initial version of firmware on a digital twin of the physical memory device, determining an initial value of a performance parameter based on operation of the digital twin according to the initial version of firmware, producing a modified version of firmware, deploying the modified version of firmware on the digital twin, and determining a next value of the performance parameter based on operation of the digital twin according to the modified version of firmware. One of the different versions of firmware that achieves a target value for the performance parameter can be provided for deployment on the physical memory device.

    Abstract: Updating a distribution of voltage-conductance points for artificial neural networks can include receiving, at an accelerator, such as a MAC unit, information corresponding to a memory array of the MAC unit. A plurality of parameters of the ANN can be received. The distribution of voltage-conductance points can be identified utilizing the plurality of parameters and based on the information corresponding to the memory array. The distribution of voltage-conductance points correspond to discernable conductance levels and a subset of the plurality of parameters. The ANN can be stored in the MAC unit based on the discernable conductance levels.

    Abstract: A computing system having a photonic interconnect configured between a memory sub-system having a plurality of memory islands and a host system running one or more applications using memory provide by an active subset of the memory islands. The memory sub-system includes a direct memory access controller operable to transfer data between the other memory islands of the memory sub-system, while the host system runs on the active subset. The photonic interconnect can be configured to distribute its communication bandwidth to the active subset without being effected by the direct memory access operations performed on memory islands outside of the active subset.
