Abstract: Techniques are described for wireless communication. One method includes identifying a plurality of channel responses corresponding to a plurality of channels. Each channel of the plurality of channels corresponds to a pairing of a transmit antenna with a receive antenna. Each channel response of the plurality of channel responses corresponds to a plurality of tone subsets. The method also includes selecting, for each channel of the plurality of channels, a subset of non-frequency domain components of the channel response for the channel, and transmitting, for at least one channel of the plurality of channels, at least one subset of channel state information (CSI). The at least one subset of CSI is based at least in part on at least one of the selected subsets of non-frequency domain components.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. One method includes identifying a plurality of intermediate precoders corresponding to a plurality of tone subsets. The plurality of intermediate precoders define a plurality of vectors across the plurality of tone subsets. The method further includes selecting, for each vector of the plurality of vectors, a subset of non-frequency domain components of the vector, such as time-domain components; modifying the plurality of intermediate precoders to a plurality of smoothed precoders based at least in part on the selected subset of non-frequency domain components for each vector; and precoding a plurality of transmit streams using the plurality of smoothed precoders. The plurality of smoothed precoders is smoothed in a frequency domain compared to the plurality of intermediate precoders. Smoothing precoders may enable application of wideband channel estimation techniques using user equipment (UE)-specific reference signals.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for transmit power control for positioning using non-serving cells are described. A user equipment (UE) may determine that an uplink reference signal may be associated with a positioning procedure. In some cases, the positioning procedure may include transmission, by the UE, of the reference signal to a non-serving cell, which may be farther away from the UE than a serving cell. The UE may determine an absence of a parameter associated with a transmit power for transmitting the reference signal. Based on the absence, the UE may determine the transmit power based on parameters received from a serving cell, based on configuration information, based on a message intercepted from the cell other than the serving cell, or based on other considerations or information.

The RB includes at least one reference signal (RS) resource element (RE) of a first physical channel of the UE. The UE estimates a channel quality of a second physical channel of the UE as a function of the at least one RS RE. In some examples, the BS associates the transmission of a first physical channel reference signal (RS) and the transmission of a second physical channel RS. The BS then signals, BS to the UE, the association between the first physical channel reference signal and the second physical channel reference signal.

Abstract: Apparatus, methods, and computer-readable media for providing improved power efficiency during DRX wake-up are disclosed. An example method of wireless communication at a UE includes receiving a WUS from a base station while performing a DRX cycle, the WUS indicating data for transmission to the UE. The example method also includes at least one receiving a downlink reference signal or transmitting an uplink reference signal based on the WUS and prior to reception of the data, the uplink reference signal transmitted or the downlink reference signal received during an on-duration of the DRX cycle and in response to receiving the WUS. The example method also includes sending a CSI report to the base station based on the WUS and prior to the receiving of the data. The example method also includes receiving the data following the respective receiving or transmitting of the downlink reference signal or uplink reference signal.

Another technique involves receiving, from a base station (BS), downlink data transmission(s) across a slot(s). A type of duplexing mode associated with each of the slot(s) is determined. The downlink data transmission(s) are acknowledged, based at least in part on the type of duplexing mode associated with each of the slot(s).

Abstract: Aspects relate to measuring downlink beam quality in the presence of self-interference when operating in a full duplex mode configured for concurrent transmission and reception within an overlapping bandwidth. A user equipment (UE) may communicate with a base station over one or more of a plurality of uplink beams and downlink beams. For each uplink beam, the UE may obtain beam quality measurements associated with each of the downlink beams to identify a set of usable downlink beams. The described techniques provide for a user equipment (UE) to identify a first set of scheduled transmissions to be received using a first set of time-frequency resources, where reference signals of the first set of transmissions may be bundled according to a first reference signal bundling pattern. The UE may identify a second scheduled transmission to be received using a second set of time-frequency resources that overlaps with the first set of resources. The UE may determine a second reference signal bundling pattern for bundling the reference signals received in the first set of transmissions. For example, the UE may modify the first reference signal bundling pattern to determine the second reference signal bundling pattern. The UE may receive the second scheduled transmission and the first set of scheduled transmissions according to the second reference signal bundling pattern.
