Abstract:
A cylinder liner for insert casting used in a cylinder block is provided. The cylinder liner includes an outer circumferential surface having a plurality of projections. Each projection has a constricted shape. A film of a metal material is formed on the outer circumferential surface and the surfaces of the projections. As a result, the cylinder liner ensures sufficient bond strength with the casting material of a cylinder block, and sufficient thermal conductivity with the cylinder block.
Abstract:
A printing assist system including a print mode storage storing a plurality of print modes each including a specification of a printed material and a setting of a printing device, means for acquiring print specification information, means for acquiring printing device capability information, means for retrieving a plurality of print modes based on the acquired print specification information and the acquired printing device information, means for calculating, for each of the print modes retrieved by the print mode retrieving means and for each of a plurality of evaluation items, an evaluation value relative to other print modes, a selection history storage that stores a history of print mode selection by a user and includes the evaluation value of the present print mode for each evaluation item, and means for offering the plurality of retrieved print modes based on the selection history information and the evaluation values.
Abstract:
A cylinder liner has an outer circumferential surface on which a film is formed. The film functions to form gaps between the cylinder block and the cylinder liner. Alternatively, the film functions to reduce adhesion of the cylinder liner to the cylinder block. The cylinder liner suppresses excessive decreases in the temperature of a cylinder.
Abstract:
A thermal printer has a first thermal head, a second thermal head, and a feeding mechanism. The feeding mechanism feeds one of thermal papers which include a double-sided thermal paper having thermosensitive layers formed on both sides thereof and a single-sided thermal paper having a thermosensitive layer formed on one side thereof. The first thermal head is so provided as to be brought into contact with a first side of the thermal paper fed by the feeding mechanism. The second thermal head is so provided as to be brought into contact with a second side of the thermal paper fed by the feeding mechanism. The thermal printer determines whether a mark has been printed at least one of the first and second sides of the thermal paper and controls print operation based on a determination result.
Abstract:
A column-and-beam join structure comprises connecting the column and beam with a pair of split tees. At least one split tee has a web with a portion of the web having a reduced cross-sectional area. The web with the reduced cross-sectional area is located between a flange of the beam and a buckling restraint. The buckling restraint is connected to the flange of the beam with bolts. The sides of the bolts are in the proximity to the side surface of the portion of the web of the split tee having the reduced cross-sectional area. Annular members may be arranged surrounding portions of the bolts that are in proximity to the side surface of the portion of the web having the reduced cross-sectional area.

Abstract:
Exemplary embodiments provided a conductive paste including an organic gold compound and a glass component in a solvent. When electrodes are formed on both surfaces of piezoelectric members using the conductive paste according to the invention, it is possible to improve the close adhesion property between the electrodes and the piezoelectric members eliminate ion migration, and lower electric resistances of the electrodes.

A positive resist composition that includes a resin component (A) and an acid generator component (B), wherein the component (A) is a star polymer that includes a core that contains acid-dissociable, dissolution-inhibiting groups, and arms that are bonded to the core.
Abstract:
An α value in a desired shape in a desired position can be rewritten to a desired value in a desired range. α value rewriting units for rewriting an α value showing an opaqueness degree of an image are provided. When the desired position comes, an area setting signal is outputted in a desired shape from an area setting signal generating unit. While the area setting signal is being outputted, in the α value rewriting unit, an α value of inputted image data is rewritten to a desired value. The rewriting of the α value can be dynamically realized independent of software. By preparing a quadrangular area calculating unit and a circular area calculating unit as an area setting signal generating unit, a quadrangular area and a circular area can be set by hardware.
