Abstract:
Techniques described herein may enable user equipment (e.g., user broadband devices, Internet of Things (IoT) devices, etc.) to connect to different core networks of a wireless telecommunication network. The core networks may support different network services (e.g., Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) services, Internet access service, telematics services, Video on Demand (VoD) services, etc.) and a UE may connect be connected to the appropriate core network based on an Access Point Name identifier (APN ID) that the UE may provide to the network (e.g., upon sending a request to connect to the wireless telecommunication network).
Abstract:
A method, a device, and a non-transitory storage medium provide an emergency call support service in which a network device of a visited network obtains user profile data of a wireless device from a home network of the wireless device, and provides the user profile data to a location server of the visited network. The emergency call support service allows an emergency call, when initiated by a roaming subscriber of the wireless device via the visited network, to include the user profile data and be provided to a public safety access point.
Abstract:
A device may receive an outgoing message from a primary user device associated with an originating telephone number. The originating telephone number may be associated with the primary user device and one or more associated user devices. The device may identify the one or more associated user devices that are associated with the originating telephone number. The device may generate, based on the outgoing message, one or more outgoing synchronization messages corresponding to the one or more associated user devices. The one or more outgoing synchronization messages may be used to synchronize one or more outgoing messages, corresponding to the one or more associated user devices, with the outgoing message. The device may provide the one or more outgoing synchronization messages to the one or more associated user devices to synchronize the one or more outgoing messages with the outgoing message.
Abstract:
A first device associated with an evolved packet core network receives a first update request from a second device associated with the evolved packet core network. The first update request is associated with a communication session previously provided between the first device and the second device, and the first update request is generated based on a voice/video request. The first device generates an update answer in response to the first update request, where the update answer includes a code requesting that the communication session be restored between the first device and the second device. The first device receives, based on the code, a second update request from the second device, where the second update request includes session information associated with the communication session. The first device restores, based on the session information, the communication session between the first device and the second device to create a restored communication session.
Abstract:
A device may determine that delivery of a message, to a destination identified by a telephone number shared by multiple user devices, has failed. The device may receive a unique identifier from a message delivery device associated with delivering the message. The unique identifier may correspond to a user device of the multiple user devices, and may be different from the telephone number. The device may determine whether the unique identifier indicates that the user device is able to receive the message, and may selectively provide the message to the message delivery device. The message may be provided to the message delivery device for delivery to the user device when the unique identifier indicates that the user device is able to receive the message. The message may not be provided to the message delivery device when the unique identifier indicates that the user device is unable to receive the message.
Abstract:
Techniques described herein may enable a wireless telecommunications network to operate more efficiently by prohibiting communications towards User Equipment (UE) devices that are in a power saving mode. For example, a UE mode server may receive, from an information transfer server, a query regarding the availability of a particular UE to receive information. The UE mode server may determine whether the UE is currently in an active mode of operation or a power saving mode of operation. When the UE is in a power saving mode, the UE mode server may prohibit the information transfer server from having the information sent to the UE; however, when the UE is in an active mode, the UE mode server may permit the information transfer server to have the information to the UE.
Abstract:
A method may include receiving, at an application server, a session initiation protocol (SIP) message including a public user identifier (ID) associated a user. The public user ID corresponds to a plurality of user devices. The method also includes determining an applicable order of alerting at least one of the plurality of user devices. The method further includes identifying at least one available user device associated with the user, based on a terminal identifier (ID) associated with each at least one available user device. The method also includes selecting a user device from the at least one available user device based on the applicable order of alerting. A SIP invite message, including a terminal ID for the selected user device, is generated. The method includes sending the SIP invite message to the selected user device based on the applicable order of alerting, and receiving a response to the SIP invite message.

Abstract:
A device may receive a first call associated with a virtual phone number associated with a first user device and a second user device. The device may determine, and may store information indicating, that the first call was made using the first user device. The device may receive a second call directed to the virtual phone number and may determine whether the second call comprises a call back associated with the first call. The device may selectively send the second call to the first user device or to the first and second user devices based on determining whether the second call comprises the call back. The second call may be sent to the first and second user devices when the second call does not comprise the call back and may be sent to the first user device when the second call comprises the call back.
Abstract:
A request to access a location-based service is received via a wireless access point (WAP). A WAP identifier associated with the WAP may be identified based on the request and a particular geographic location associated with the WAP may be determined based on the identifier. For example, a WAP information service (WIS) may store data associating geographic locations and WAP identifiers corresponding to a plurality of WAPs that include the WAP, and the particular geographic location may be determined by querying the WIS, based on the particular WAP identifier, to identify the particular geographic location. A communication may be established between the user device and location-based service based on the particular geographic location associated with the WAP.
