Abstract:
Methods and apparatus for digital data array edge enhancement are disclosed. A local data window containing a data sample s is selected. Minimum and maximum sample values, max and min, are located within the window, and an edge deflection value ed is defined to have a value between max and min. A diffusion quantity is then calculated to move the value of s towards max, if s is greater than ed, or towards min, if s is smaller than ed. This approach has advantages over gradient-based edge-enhancement, including simplicity, convergence speed, and stability.
Abstract:
A method for compression of compound images. The method determines a classification for a current pixel based upon its causal neighbors and codes the pixel according to a mode determined by the classification. This coding results in production of a symbol for the pixel and the symbol is then mapped to the output stream.
Abstract:
Systems and methods for performing a task via a simple code. Combination of a marker and a simple code represents a task. In an aspect, after a code is received, possible objects are determined and presented. After a user selects a possible object, a task related to the object is performed. In another aspect, a task is performed when a voice input contains a code and a user gazes or gestures at a device.

FIG. 1 is a front, top and right side perspective view of a desk lamp, showing my new design; FIG. 2 is a front view thereof; FIG. 3 is a rear view thereof; FIG. 4 is a right side view thereof; FIG. 5 is a left side view thereof; FIG. 6 is a top plan view thereof; and, FIG. 7 is a bottom plan view thereof. The broken lines shown in the drawings depict portions of the desk lamp which form no part of the claimed design.
Abstract:
Systems and methods for performing a task via a simple code. Combination of a unique marker and a simple code represents a task. A simple code is submitted manually or by a voice input. Voice recognition and gesture recognition are used. In an aspect, a task is executed when a voice input comprises a predetermined name and a simple code. In another aspect, a task is executed when a voice input comprises a simple code and a user gazes or gestures at a device.
Abstract:
Provided herein are methods and apparatuses for determining a level of cellular metabolic activity for a region of interest in order to detect and map on-going gliovascular unit metabolic activity using high-resolution 1H2O MRI. In one example approach, a computer-implemented method includes receiving a first set of DCE-MRI time-course data for a region, wherein a contrast agent is administered prior to imaging, identifying a region of interest from the first set of DCE-MRI time-course data for further analysis, performing shutter-speed pharmacokinetic analysis of the time-course data associated with the region of interest using computer-implemented software to obtain a finite and non-zero mean water molecule capillary lifetime in the region of interest, and indicating a level of cellular metabolic activity in the brain based on the mean water molecule capillary lifetime.
Abstract:
A lithium ion battery separator consists of a PE micro-porous substrate A and a micro-porous coating B which is located on the substrate A and formed of mixing pre-crosslinked rubber particles and ceramic fine powder composite materials. The separator has characteristics of good compressible elasticity, thermal shutdown, low heat shrinkage, high temperature membrane rupture resistance and so on.
Abstract:
A compound of Formula I, or an isomer, pharmaceutically acceptable salt or solvate thereof, is provided. Also, a composition containing a compound of Formula I, or an isomer, pharmaceutically acceptable salt or solvate thereof, and a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier, excipient or diluents, is provided. Further, use of a compound of Formula I, or an isomer, pharmaceutically acceptable salt or solvate thereof for anti-apoptosis is provided, preventing or treating a disease or disorder associated with apoptosis; especially for protecting cardiomyocyte, preventing or treating a disease or disorder associated with cardiomyocyte apoptosis.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a compound of Formula I, or an isomer, pharmaceutically acceptable salt and solvate of the compound, and to a composition comprising the compound of Formula I, or the isomer, pharmaceutically acceptable salt and solvate thereof, and a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier, excipient or diluents. The present invention also relates to use of the compound of Formula I, or the isomer, pharmaceutically acceptable salt and solvate thereof for combating apoptosis, preventing or treating a disease or disorder associated with apoptosis; and especially use for protecting cardiomyocyte, and for preventing or treating a disease or disorder associated with cardiomyocyte apoptosis.
