    摘要: A liquid holding member abuts against an applying surface (outer surface) of an applying member which applies an applying liquid to an applying medium, and a liquid holding space for holding the applying liquid is formed between the applying member and the liquid holding member. By rotating the applying member, the applying liquid held in the liquid holding space is affixed to the outer surface of the applying member while being restricted to the abutting member, and the applying liquid is applied to the medium. In this event, the abutting position of the applying member and the liquid holding member differs between after applying operation completion and before applying operation starting. Thus, distortion generated at the abutting position of the applying surface of the applying member and the liquid holding member can be reduced.

    摘要: An inkjet recording apparatus suppresses defective ejection while reducing a consumed ink amount. In the apparatus, a cap-open period, during which a cap member does not cap ejection ports of a recording head of the apparatus, is measured, and a recovery operation executed by a recovery unit is controlled based on a cumulated cap-open period. With the above arrangement, there can be solved a problem that the ink ejecting state of the recording head is deteriorated depending on a recording operation because a cap-open state, in which the cap member does not cap the ejection ports of the recording head, continues while the inkjet recording apparatus executes the recording operation, thereby the reliability of the inkjet recording apparatus can be improved.

    摘要: A present invention reduces the generation of periodic uneven print density in the image in a main scanning direction. The present invention focuses attention on a fact that, when a printing head including a plurality of nozzle arrays for ejecting different inks is used to print an image and when the same pixel is printed by a combination of nozzle arrays in which an interval in the main scanning direction is relatively short, the displacement of ink impact positions is smaller when compared to a case where the same pixel is printed by a combination of nozzle arrays in which an interval in the main scanning direction is relatively long. Thus, a dot arrangement pattern allocated to the pixel data is selected so that the same pixel is printed by a combination of nozzle arrays in which an interval in the main scanning direction is relatively short.

    摘要: In a print head having arrays of large nozzles and small nozzles with different ink ejection volumes that are connected to a common ink chamber, the preliminary ejection operation is performed 29,000 times first on only the large nozzles at an ejection frequency of 10 kHz to discharge viscous or mixed color ink from ink chambers. After the preliminary ejection operation of the large nozzles is finished, only the small nozzles are made to perform the preliminary ejection operation 2,000 times at an ejection frequency of 10 kHz. Reducing the number of preliminary ejections from the small nozzles in this manner can minimize the generation of stray mist. Further, by performing the preliminary ejection operation on the large nozzles first, it is possible to discharge enough viscous ink from the ink chamber.

Each of the power supply units includes each of output windings L1 to L4, which are wound independently of each other around the single iron core, and each of rectifier circuits 2 to 5. The power supply units produce an integrated output power. Control means 33 to 35 control the rectifier circuits such that an output voltage agrees with a target voltage Vref. In a case where an added up power W becomes a power target value Wref, when the added up current I further increases, a power comparing section 39 reduces the target voltage Vref to prevent the rectifier circuits from outputting power. Further, when the added up current I exceeds a current upper limit ILMT, a gate pulse is stopped.

    摘要: An image forming apparatus include a latent image bearer, charger, latent image forming unit, developing unit, receiver unit, transfer unit, information acquisition unit, and correction unit. The charger charges the latent image bearer with a predetermined charging potential. The latent image forming unit forms an electrostatic latent image on the latent image bearer. The developing unit develops the electrostatic latent image to form a toner image. The receiver unit receives the toner image from the talent image bearer. The transfer unit applies a predetermined transfer bias to transfer the toner image to the receiver unit. The information acquisition unit acquires residual image generation determination information. When predetermined residual image generation condition is satisfied, a correction unit corrects image forming condition such that surface potential unevenness of the latent image bearer subsequent to transfer is smaller than that generated where predetermined residual image generation condition is not satisfied.
