摘要: A vehicle fuel system according to the invention includes a fuel filler flap that blocks an opening of a fuel filler space to be openable and closable, a locking mechanism that regulates opening and closing operation of the fuel filler flap, and a detector that detects the opening and closing operation of the fuel filler flap. A controller is able to determine an operational state of the fuel filler flap multiple times within one driving cycle of a vehicle, which improves a frequency of diagnosing the operational state of the fuel filler flap and a stuck-closed state of the detector.

摘要: The present invention provides system (100) for securing fuel of motor vehicles using IoT devices. The system comprises control device (101) mounted on lid of fuel tank to control the opening and closing of the lid of the fuel tank, from remote places. The control device (101) comprises plurality of IoT sensors connected to a microcontroller unit (205), a GSM module (202) to transfer the data between the authorized user and control device (101). The control device (101) also comprises microcontroller unit (205) to execute the plurality of operations and motor (207) integrated with microcontroller unit (205) to lock or unlock the lid of the fuel tank on receiving the signal from authorized user. An application is installed onto the user's mobile device (104) to monitor and track the activities in fuel tank. A cloud based database server (103) is used for storing and analyzing the measured fuel data.

摘要: The fuel tank of a vehicle has a wail (26) and filling pipe (10) for adding fuel. The filling pipe has a mouth, through which there opens a connection into the fuel tank, The fuel tank comprises a protective cover (16) installed movably to the wall, the protective cover being movable to a first position in front of the mouth of the filling pipe and to a second position away from the front of the mouth of the filling pipe. The mouth of the filling pipe is usually covered by a releasable cap (14). When the protective cover is in front of the mouth, the cap in the mouth cannot be accessed and it cannot be removed from the end of the filling pipe. Respectively, when the protective cover is in the second position, it does not prevent or hinder the handling of the cap at the end of the filling pipe. The fuel tank can further comprise a locking element for locking the protective cover in place to the said first position. Preferably the locking element can be opened from the cabin of the vehicle.

摘要: Systems and methods for assembling a fuel filler system for use in a vehicle are provided. A locking bracket is coupled within an end of a fuel filler tube. At least one passage is defined in the locking bracket for facilitating insertion of a closure device into the fuel filler tube end. At least one anti-removal structure on the closure device passes through the at least one passage during insertion of the closure device. The at least one anti-removal structure precludes removal of the closure device after insertion of the closure device, and rotation of the closure device from a first rotational position relative to the locking bracket to a second rotational position. First and second anti-rotation structures extending from the closure device engage first and second ends of the locking bracket to prevent further rotation of the closure device.

摘要: A locking assembly includes a release mechanism and a cap. The release mechanism includes a pin. The cap threadingly engages with a fill neck and includes a barrel portion and an engagement portion. The engagement portion radially surrounds the barrel portion. The engagement portion presents engagement threads which threadingly engage with threads of the fill neck. The annular cover portion radially surrounds the engagement portion. The annular cover portion rotates relative to the annular engagement portion in a second rotational direction to cause rotation of the engagement portion in the second rotational direction such that the engagement threads remain threadingly engaged with the neck threads. The annular cover portion rotates in the second rotational direction and causes rotation of the engagement portion in the second rotational direction to threadingly disengage the engagement threads from the threads when the pin is attached to the locking cap.
